Not your typical strip mall Italian. We ordered carpaccio to start, it was phenomenal. Which made us nervous, because we thought they nailed this, will they flub the entree?? Well, much to our delight the entrees too were delicious. The Chicken Milanese was amazing and the Linguine Vongole (we subbed in chicken) was excellent. We also shared the creme brulee that too was spot on. In summary the food was delicious. I wish there was a La Cucina Nouveau closer to home. We would recommend and dine again.

Solid backup valentines dinner spot. We got sat right away. We had the burrata which we really enjoyed but the chicken milenese and shrimp bolognese….It wasn’t as saucy as we thought and yeah the entree was just ok. Ambiance was lovely and bustling and service was just the right amount of attentive.

A really nice family owned Italian restaurant and BYOB! Decent sized menu with plenty of specials. While the noise level may be high for a romantic dinner a group of friends would have no problem. The main reason I gave this restaurant a 4 star review is that I found the food although exceptional it is somewhat overpriced and higher than what is shown on their website for certain dishes! Still worth a visit!!!

Best food I’ve had in years. I will be going back even though I live an hour away. Went for my mother’s 80th birthday party.
We got tons of apps for the table and all were excellent. There’s a reason there were 20 people waiting to get in when we left. Try to make a reservation if you can.

The photos don’t really do justice. We were a party of 6. Place was pretty packed on a Saturday night so, understandably food took a while to come out. But was worth the wait. Excellent array of salads and appetizers. Everything was delicious. Pasta was outstanding. Deserts were very good too.

Excellent food quality, period. Good service and BYOB – huge plus. Beware of the CC fees and inquire about the specials’ prices. I’d suggest for the Specials to be printed out and offered on demand. $48 for a Branzino and $60 for a strip steak seemed too steep.

One of my favorite places in Manalapan… food is always excellent. Services is great. Nina is one of the best! I enjoy it every time I come here definitely a place you must try. We had homemade pasta with Bolognese that was off the charts. The pork chop was absolutely delicious and moist. And of course, my favorite brussels sprout Caesar salad with crispy prosciutto(I think) is a must! I ate it so fast I forgot to take a picture.

Went for family birthday dinner. The owner and staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food from appetizers to dessert was spectacular. Definitely highly recommend and will be back again.

Our first dinner at this place Today .. I had seen a lot of reviews of people waiting long etc etc .. for us we got a table at our reserved time (observation: don’t think they ever note reservations as they don’t have a host/hostess desk :)) we were excited as food reviews were great .. we sat and got our wine bottle opened .. bread and olives came pretty fast.. very nice to see warm plates on a cold evening is welcoming.
We ordered seafood appetizer from the special menu.. very tasty and well made .. our server said the dish would be spicy but it was absolutely NO Spice in it but still well made.
May be our server was less informed . 🙂
We ordered Salmon, pork chops and seafood pasta for main course.
We were done with our appetizer and then the wait started ………… after 2 follow ups and 45 mins we finally got the main course but the appetite was Gone … the food was OK not bad but definitely NOT WORTH THE WAIT.. they definitely have a ‘LAZY KITCHEN’ and a poor service staff too because when we said we are not happy about the delay our server said I can’t do much about it “it’s the Kitchen”… even a simple apology did not come out for the delay till I said your owners will read my experience in my google review.. we had no choice but to box our meal as our appetite was killed
We walked out without having a dessert.. Thanks to the liquor chocolates I have at home :)).. they were the saving grace ..
I am sure if it was better weather and they are full capacity we would have waited till eternity for mediocre food.. (today they were 70% capacity)
My take is this place has a higher hype than they truly deserve ..
