Reviews
The restaurant is very clean and fairly easy to navigate. They don’t have any physical menus, just look at the digital menu boards around the checkout. There isn’t a ton of parking here either and that’s the only reason I have them 4 stars on atmosphere. Other than that, I have zero complaints. La Cubana is a gem and we will continue to go back. Everything we ordered was great! The chicken empanadas remind me so much of “corn meal mush” that’s been filled with chicken and fried. Amazing food and great service. The Cuban coffee is amazing too!!
We picked up an order of
Papas Rellenas de Pcadillo-Stuffed mashed potato balls with seasoned ground beef inside.
Croquetas de jamon-Lightly breaded and fried. Stuffed with potatoes and ham.
Empanadas de Pollo-Corn meal based empanada filled with seasoned chicken.
Platanos Maduros-Fried sweet plantains.
I wandered into this little Cuban gem on a whim and left a changed person—spiritually, emotionally, and gastronomically. First off, the food? Sublime. I ordered the #1 because I enjoy living on the edge, and let me tell you… it didn’t just blow my socks off. It launched them into orbit. NASA called—they want them back.
Every bite was like a salsa dance on my taste buds, led by a porky partner who knows all the moves. I made noises I thought were only reserved for award-winning barbeque or emotional breakthroughs in therapy.
The staff? So friendly I started wondering if I was secretly related to them. I half expected someone to ask if I needed a place to stay for the holidays.
And the bathrooms—look, I don’t usually talk about restrooms in my food reviews, but these deserve a standing ovation. Spotless. I’ve been to weddings with less attention to detail.
In conclusion: Go here. Go now. Go hungry. Bring a friend, or don’t—more food for you. Either way, you’re in for a Cuban flavor explosion wrapped in warm hospitality and served with a side of, “Why didn’t I find this place sooner?”
Food:
The sandwiches were delicious!!! The tostones were way over cooked and couldn’t bite into them. Rellenas were cooked perfectly. Got the ham and chicken croquetas. The chicken ones we liked the most. Ham ones weren’t cooked all the way. Drinks come in bottles and cans.
The food was just “ok” nothing special really. A disappointment even. I’ll probably give it another try when I’m in the area.
