They brought out our desserts around the 90 minute mark before we even got our Entrees, which they took back but we wish we would have kept them just to have something to eat.
Our server, Tyler, kept telling us that our Entrees were almost up for about an hour from about the 60 minute mark until they finally arrived at the TWO HOUR mark at 730pm. My husband’s steak was only warm at best and the cauliflower with my scallops resembled something off a veggie tray from the grocery store, raw and no seasoning.
We would go 30 minutes with empty water glasses and had to ask for more water several times.
It took another hour after our entrees for us to get our desserts and they only brought one out first and had to go find the second. My lava cake was cold.
The total experience took 3 hours. THREE HOURS for three courses that were just okay at best.
We were not the only table that was experiencing this. We kept being told the kitchen was backed up but there was also issues with cocktails being brought to us that we didn’t order. At one point, 3 drinks arrived within 5 minutes that we hadnt even asked for. None of the service team seemed to be working together or have any cohesive idea of what was going on.
We were not charged for the extra drinks thankfully but we are still not happy that we paid $150 for: cold food that was supposed to be warm and warm food that was supposed to be cold, the total time of the service meant we had to cancel our after dinner plans, and just overall lack of service from the staff.
I really was looking forward to this dinner experience but I will not be recommending La Crosse Distillery to anyone any time soon, especially for a special menu/event.
