Brought my teenage son here for his birthday today. This was our first time trying this place. Service was excellent. Our waitress Keisha was super attentive but not overbearing. We all had the build your own boil. Portions were more than enough. Flavor was excellent. Hidden gem with ample parking well lit and atmosphere is unique with a friendly vibe. We finally found our spot for seafood. So delicious! Thanks to the staff they made a good day even better!

This was hands down one of the most uncomfortable dining experiences I’ve ever had.

I came in for lunch with my daughter. We ordered an appetizer and a crab boil. The food started off fine — until we got into the crab legs. They were completely waterlogged and overcooked. Anyone who eats crab regularly knows the difference. It was disappointing, but we didn’t make a scene. We calmly and politely asked if we could either get replacement crab legs or have them removed from the bill.

What happened next was shocking.

The owner came to our table with a pair of scissors, grabbed the crab legs, cut them open, pulled the meat out herself, and tried to insist my daughter eat it. Instead of listening to a customer concern, the situation became confrontational and uncomfortable. As a parent, that crossed a line for me.

I made it clear I was willing to pay for everything we ate — just not the crab legs. This should have been a simple, routine customer service issue. Instead, it escalated to the point where police were called over a food dispute.

Initially, before even fully hearing my side, I was threatened with arrest. After everything was explained and it was clear I was not refusing to pay for what we consumed — only disputing the crab legs — I was told I wouldn’t be arrested but would have to go to court if I refused to pay.

After I left, police called me asking me to return because the owner decided to remove the crab legs from the bill and did not want to press charges. So in the end, the solution was exactly what I had politely asked for from the beginning.

All of this over a simple request to correct overcooked crab.

The waitress was kind and seemed to genuinely want to help, but the way management handled this situation was unnecessarily aggressive and unprofessional.

If you’re looking for a relaxing meal with your family, understand that this establishment is willing to escalate a basic food complaint into a police matter instead of resolving it calmly.

I will never return, and I strongly encourage others to consider whether this is the type of environment they want to dine in.

It was nice inside and our server was helpful. I went for the alligator and they took it off the menu. The catfish was really good, but the cajun shrimp pasta was not the best. Their sauce was very watery and the flavor was bland. The platter was good though. The calamari and shrimp were my favorite.

Food is good, Asian manager needs some definite customer service training or she needs a lower position because basic customer service skills evade her. Male employee was nice and offered a side of fries to make up for an issue I had only for her to come up and be like, that’s not happening. Maybe make him manager instead lol. How do you have an employee handle an issue great, only for the “manager” to come and take back what was already offered to the customer to remedy the situation. Like I said , lacks basic knowledge in customer service. It wasn’t as if he offered something crazy like” here’s a refund for your $60 order”, it was a side of Fries lady. Is that worth possibly losing a customer? I may just stick to angry crab, only time will tell.

Loses One Star for not having WiFi.
I went for the first time on a Saturday night for National Shrimp Day. Arrived and got seated at 6:02 p.m.
It was 20 minutes before I got asked what I wanted to drink. Note that 2 other tables around me were seated after me and were already drinking. Wait staff came back 10 minutes later because she didn’t bring her ticket pad and forgot what I wanted. Finally at 7:05 I got my drinks (water & beer) and 5 minutes later got my shrimp basket with fries.
Shrimp were big and juicy. Cajun fries were tasty. I asked for lemons for my water twice. I asked for ketchup, never got it. I waited 15 minutes to get a recipe. I heard a different wait staff saying they were short handed and the kitchen was backed up. Restroom was clean.
I was there for approximately 2 hours. I would go back waiting an hour to get a glass of water is a deal breaker.

Tried this restaurant on Saturday. Really enjoyed my food. Ordered 2lb crab clusters 1lb headless shrimp potatoes eggs corn and sausage. Ordered a side of catfish, which pieces were a bit small. Ordered a side of sauce to go to dip the fish and boil in. I would recommend calling ahead as I had to wait close to 45 minutes for my food. The moment I walked out about to cancel my order through the bank, the lady came running out with my food. I felt the team there intentionally held my food and made me wait. 6 Hot wings had a unique flavor and were great. Picture of remaining 3 Someone who spends $85.85 at your establishment I will go somewhere else due to your rude staff.

Great new place for some Awesome seafood and other great items. Lots of parking and well lit. Indoor and outdoor seating. Don’t let the front of the menu scare you. Everything is Extremely affordable. Big portions and food taste Great. Great decor and plenty of seating. Service is top-notch. I would like to get my dinner salad 1st before the meal. Also, both couple in front and behind asked for buckets for their throwaway. They don’t have them. Might be something to look at in the future. Kid friendly and Highly recommended.

Okay so here’s the deal. I love their shrimp fajitas. It is a lot of food for a single person. The service is great. I love the fried clam appetizer and the beer is cheap during happy hour. When I first saw this place was popping up I thought it was a la crab shack, not LA Crab shack. I am happy this spot is near me and crave the food, plus the paper towels on the table really just give me what I need! Just go and have some food, relax and chill out you will like it!

My sister had a Fish & chip basket that was so good she had us come to try it so she could have it again. I didn’t get a pic of some of the food but the Beer batter on this fish was very good!! The chicken tenders, fried shrimp and fried alligator also had the same or similar batters as the fish. The bags were pricey but pretty good..I would definitely come back for the fish&chip and the fried alligator!! The waitress was the best!! S/O to her!!
