La Cosecha Mexican Bar and Grill is operating in the old Catfish Ranch Restaurant Building, adjacent to the exclusive and luxurious, Super Stay Inn and Suites. Apparently, the restaurant opened in October 2025.

It is a big building. Inside unmistakably a restaurant in its previous life. Clean, but worn. A few of the booths and chair’s upholstery are scuffed through in places, exposing the underlying whiskers of thread. The padding in several booths had succumbed to the gravitational forces of previous hefty, “all you can eat catfish” customers. A little remodeling maybe? Looks like new flooring and paint. A bright comfortable interior.

Chips and salsa come with the meal. Be sure to order the salsa picosa. There is a $2 charge for it. It is worth it. The food is lightly seasoned. You will appreciate the heat with your meal.
The menu is big. My wife found the biggest meal on the menu, The Tiger Plate; e. in the combo section. A tamale, cheese enchilada, bean chalupa, beef taco with rice and beans. To celebrate her recent gallbladder surgery, she had the tamale and enchilada smothered in queso! A large, excellent sampling of the restaurant’s food.

A super burrito for me. Stuffed with steak, covered with red sauce. A dab of guacamole and sour cream on the side. It came with a generous helping of rice and tasty refried beans.
Two delicious meals and very good service.

Another good Mexican food option in Muskogee.

My wife and I decided to try La Cosecha for dinner, and we were pleasantly surprised. I ordered the chicken fajita chimichangas, and my wife had Isabella’s Plate. We both preferred the chicken over the beef, but overall, each dish was enjoyable. The portion sizes were appropriate for the price, and the staff was exceptionally kind and attentive. We will definitely be dining here again.

I’ve been on a quest to try The most rated restaurant in the towns I visit and one of the top 10 in Muskogee. Was this one. It claimed to have really good food and portions and since I was close by I decided to give it a try and see for myself.
So I’ll begin rating the food:
The menu typical of a restaurant who attempts to want to offer you a lot of options ends up with the hot mess of a menu. This particularly annoys me the most because I just don’t have the time to read through pages when most of the dishes are identical. Just with a few variants that make him different and it just goes on and on and on. I made it simple and I chose the Mexican ribeye lunch. To my surprise the waitress did ask how did I want it cooked so I was very appreciative about that because now I can ask for how I want the steak to be cooked when the portion came out. I thought it was an excellent portion for the price and also because it was from the lunch menu so it tends to be slightly smaller than an actual dinner plate. The food was good but I wouldn’t say it was great. I wouldn’t say this is something I couldn’t find elsewhere.

Now let’s get to the service:
It became clear from the time I came in that people that work here know each other, perhaps even outside of work and that’s a good thing. But also it can be a bad thing. And I say this because fortunately I can speak Spanish and English very well so I can understand the gossip as the ladies walk around doing their job. They assumed that some of us just don’t understand. But I do and for the rest of the people eating here it may not be a big deal and it’s not a big deal to me either, but he does reflect a little bit what’s going on in the the work environment And how this affect their service towards patreons. The girl was working the table I was. She seemed to be the quiet type in a specific. I only noticed the gossip in loud speech from the other two girls. I have no complaints from the waitress that took care of my table.
Atmosphere: well now we get down to another mess. This restaurant by standards of the 1990s would still not be up to the trends of that era much less in today’s modern atmospheres being offered at restaurants. Please don’t take this in a negative way, I mean this with the intention to offer suggestion.
The inside and the outside of the restaurant could really use a nice subtle remodel to bring it up to a more modern feel. Now. Maybe the owner is reading what I’m saying and is stinking why does that matter if the food is good? I understand that. I understand that what you cared about is the food you offer and I completely agree. But you also want to create an emotion attached to your food so that you can secure not just people to eat at your restaurant. But people that can remember your restaurant because of how it makes them feel when they are here. Psychologically it carries a big, powerful emotion when you can connect food and comfort. That is one of the reasons why home is call home. It’s not because it’s just the place we live in. It’s a place we feel comfortable at. It is a place where we feel our most normal by you, creating an environment that promotes those emotions. You will be able to achieve a true lasting experience on everyone who eats at your restaurant.

20251012T1730 – I arrived around 5:00 p.m. and ordered the Alambre a la Mexicana. Based on my past experiences with this dish at other Mexican restaurants, I was really looking forward to it. The staff were friendly, professional, and welcoming, and my order was ready in about 10 minutes. However, when I got home, I was very disappointed by the small portion size—especially for a $16 meal. The food tasted good, but the portion didn’t feel worth the price. Maybe I’ve just been spoiled by Senor Lopez on York and their pie tin full of food for less.

After a long day of driving, this spot was conveniently outside of our motel. We decided to give it a shot and we weren’t disappointed. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious. The team was the best part though. The bartender was friendly and had amazing customer service. The owner stopped and chatted with us as well. You can tell the staff take pride and want to provide the best experience. We are sad they aren’t local to us. If they were we would be regulars.

Where to begin?? First of all, I try to go here every weekend, cuz it hits the spot everytime I go. I love the food, it great it’s amazing it’s deliciou. There is absolutely nothing frozen about this place. You can taste the freshness in the beef and chicken. The cat fish is amazingly fried to a crisp. I’ve tried everything from Burgers to seafood, to Mexican food and they HIT on everything. They just open up their bar as well. It’s very spacious, and the wait is next to no wait at all. If your ever in there, you might just catch me there. TEXAS LONGHORNS BABY

Very generous portions of really good food. Just visiting in Muskogee and found this little gem. Loved my tamales and had enough to take home for later meal. Stop in and let Jimmy take care of your appetite.
