I had one of the dinner specials. I got a small Gumbo with sweet cornbread. The Gumbo has a kick to it, so it’s spicy with a smokey flavor. I also had the catfish and oysters with fries. The oysters were a little undercooked, but okay. The catfish and fries were perfect. It was a good size meal. I loved the coleslaw, it’s not too creamy The shrimp is really good. I think I’ll get a shrimp plate next time with another bowl of Gumbo. I give it a thumbs

So I was in town for work and was a little tired to go out to eat. I ordered this off of Doordash with the expectation of getting sub par food that would be cold and soggy. I ordered the catfish, green beans, and a piece of chocolate cake. It took about 45 minutes to arrive but amazingly the food still showed up pretty warm. The catfish tasted amazing!!! I bet this is even better eating at the restaurant if that is an option. The green beans were piping hot and they tasted really rich and so go. Ended the meal with the chocolate cake which I thought was subpar. I would definitely recommend this place and I would order this again.

Food was good but they were out of a few items I actually wanted. Went back time and time again though because the food I did get was just that good. I have tasted the item I wanted to and my fav. Definitely has to be the cabbage and fried okra as I don’t eat much fish or seafood. I will definitely keep coming here!

I finally got the opportunity to visit Bayseas Catfish Restaurant and it was ok, if all I wanted were sides, because the cod I chose wasn’t my favorite. The cabbage, cornbread and fried okra were GREAT! Maybe next time I’ll try the catfish. You can’t go wrong with that right? We’ll see.

Placed a $55 online order that included a 5‑piece family catfish meal, a burger with added cheese and bacon, two Kool‑Aids, one lemonade, and banana pudding. The app said the food would be ready in 20 minutes. I live 20 minutes away and drove straight there. When I arrived, I was told they tried to call me, but I did not see a missed call. They were out of bacon and banana pudding, which totaled about $5, and canceled the entire order. I found this strange and disappointing. A substitute or partial refund would have made more sense. I will not be returning.

The food is great and the cornbread is to die for, moist, fluffy, and sweet. I’ve known of the restaurant chain for years but haven’t been a patron for many years. I went in because I was in the area and it was convenient and remembered why I had loved it in the past. I had the shrimp and catfish and it was delicious. If you’re in the area and want some fantastic food then just go in and try it you won’t regret it.

Catfish breaded perfectly thin, fried shrimps nice and crispy with a red cocktail sauce that’s tangy and great. You HAVE to try a piece of cornbread fresh with some butter on top you’ll be glad you did.

Sitting in the Jones Maltsbetger @ Bitters Bayseas for the first time in more than a year because of job change, traveling. HAPPY to see a full-house lunch crowd – SO worth the wait getting back here at first opportunity! The catfish and shrimp lunch special “brings it” like few other places. Fried, but NOT greasy, taste and texture spot-on, condiments don’t overpower the entree’. Gotta mention the SUPER-cheerful and attentive wait staff, too. And the music mix always adds to the positive-energy experience. You are gonna be in, and depart, in an awesomely good mood after a meal here — and already be thinking about your next visit. 10-PLUS OUT OF 10, and HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
