Unfortunately, the food was very disappointing. My daughter was served a burnt waffle. The guacamole was bland and lacked salt. The birria in the tacos that my son and son-in-law ordered was dry. To make matters worse, my other son-in-law and I ordered chilaquiles with ribeye, and it only came with three small pieces of low-quality, very fatty meat.
Sadly, the experience was terrible overall, and most of us ended up with stomach issues afterward. It’s disappointing because the place looks great and the service was good, but the food quality definitely needs improvement.
The food was not very good especially for the price.
Pistachio latte was lovely but the chilaquiles my family and I tried were simply bad!!
The server apologized for our food being burnt, and some cold and not being seated on time which I truly appreciate. But I didn’t not love that she told us that if we want high quality food it should be before 12pm. We went at 2.
Ambiance and atmosphere are welcoming, lots of plants, real and fake, help create a nice environment.
We got the bean dip, needed to add a little salt, their chips are fire.
Ordered a pork belly omelet and the house chilaquiles.
The pork belly was a little over cooked, but the omelet itself was cooked perfectly, not brown hot spots.
The chilaquiles had an incredible flavor profile. O was surprised it was cold, my wife said it’s served that way, I digress.
We shared a flan chocolate cake, that was perfect. Service is outstanding, atmosphere was louder than I prefer, but still able to hold conversation.
It is a bit pricey for a plate of tortilla chips, and an Egg. And one of our overeasy eggs was super underdone. But they did correct it once we saw our waitress again.
But the beans, and the green and red sauces were delicious! They even have these cute stands that hold your purses next to your table. So I thought that was pretty thoughtful.
I’d even go as far as saying this is a Mexican version of Sunday’s Best.
Our server was Viridiana! Lovely girl. She took great care of all of us and made sure to handle all of us (party of 8) with grace and love. She really helped this place feel like home.
