By far the worst tamales I have had in Corona. Where do I start. $3.50 for a strip of mass with a hint or pork is ridiculously over priced. The cheese tamales had a bell pepper in place of jalapeños. The corn tamal had a fish after taste. I took a picture of a tamal next to a Roku controller and an iPhone 15 to give a comparison of size. The bread is at best medium. Definitely not baked that same day(it doesn’t smell of fresh bread). I was at the store at 8:00 and was less than impressed the the quality. I should have just left as soon as I saw the red flags. I spent $14 on tamales and $12.30 on bread. I did not try any kitchen items. I will not be returning. This is just my opinion but do with that information what you will.

Pan Dulce Paradise Found!
Wow, talk about a lucky find! I was craving pan dulce but short on time, and stumbled upon La Colimense Bakery. What a charming little gem! They have everything tamales, a huge variety of pan dulce… it’s like a Mexican donut shop, but way better. And how is it better? Well, the pan dulce is just as delicious as any donut, but with less sugar and (probably) less fat. (Though, let’s be honest, who’s counting when you want a treat?!) Seriously, you have to check this place out. It’s absolutely awesome. Two thumbs up for the supreme quality – there’s no other way to put it. Just a heads-up: they prefer cash or Zelle (no debit/credit), which caught me off guard. But honestly, it’s so worth it for what you get!

This place has everything! I have ordered multiple birthday cakes from here. I also ordered cupcakes for my wedding here. The owner Irene is friendly and does a great job. They also serve menudo I believe on Saturday’s that is delicious and so flavorful! I just recently tried their tamales which were also tasty. They run out of menudo and tamales so be sure to get there early.

If your looking for authentic Mexican pastries (pan dulce) or homemade tamales or better yet, menudo, th it s us the place in Corona/Norco area!!!

Its family owned and operated. Jemima and her daughters are always very helpful and ready to assist. They speak fluent English & Spanish.

Caution, one word of advise, if you plan on trying menudo or tamales on a Sat, get there before 8:00am. Take it to go. Their seating area is very small. Do what we do, call in your order the night before or plan to get there early. They open at 4 or 5am and closed on Sundays. They ALWAYS run out of menudo and they only sell it on Saturdays.

Don’t forget the sweet bread (conchas, cakes, cookies, etc) all very, very fresh and delicious!!! Enjoy.

The menudo is da bomb ! It is soo good. The conchas are hit and miss. I wish they didn’t put them by the door on Saturday morning. That might be the reason they are sometimes alittle hard.

The pan dulce and Cafe con canela are delicious. I wish they would have the milk or creamer for the coffee in a better place than the refrigerator, maybe in a thermos on the counter.
They also need better Covid protocols for sanitation of the front door handle, trays, tongs, cabinet door handles, etc.
