The food was absolutely amazing, especially the bolani, doogh, and the chicken kebab with rice, which were all fresh and full of flavour. The atmosphere was very pleasant, and the staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. Special thanks to a girl named Sadaf for her great service and positive attitude, which made the experience even better. I would definitely recommend this place and will be coming back again.

Absolutely amazing Kabuli pulao — perfectly cooked rice, tender meat, and the carrots and raisins were spot-on. Rich flavor, generous portion, and truly authentic. Highly recommend!

Very friendly and true hospitality in the heart of downtown Walnut Creek! The food is very generous in portions and made to order absolutely authentic Afghan cuisine that is a treat to your taste buds. The kabobs and kabuli pilaf are an absolute 10/10! Hope we can have some Afghan authentic places in Chicago!

De Afghanan Kabob Authentic House exceeded every expectation and delivered one of the most memorable dining experiences my family and I have ever had. From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us with warmth and genuine hospitality. Even after regular hours, they graciously allowed us to dine in, going above and beyond to accommodate us.

The food was absolutely phenomenal—bursting with flavor, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully prepared. Every dish felt like a labor of love, showcasing the rich culinary tradition of Afghanistan. The kabobs were juicy and tender, the rice fragrant and flavorful, and the naan fresh and satisfying.

But what truly set this place apart was the kindness and generosity of the team. In a time when true hospitality can feel rare, De Afghanan Authentic Kabob House reminded us what it really means to take care of your guests. We left with full hearts and full stomachs.

This restaurant is a gem, and we will absolutely be returning. Highly, highly recommended!

A Flavorful Journey to Afghanistan
Da Afghanan in Walnut Creek is more than just a restaurant; it’s a portal to a culinary wonderland. The moment you step inside, you’re enveloped in a warm, inviting atmosphere. The clean, elegant decor, combined with the friendly, attentive staff, sets the stage for a memorable dining experience.

The star of the show, however, is undoubtedly the food. The succulent lamb, beef, and chicken kebabs, marinated to perfection, were a symphony of flavors. Each bite was a delightful explosion of taste, tender and juicy, with a hint of spice. The accompanying brown rice, jalapenos, and lemon added a refreshing contrast to the rich meats. And let’s not forget the bread – soft, warm, and absolutely irresistible.

Da Afghanan offers an authentic taste of Afghanistan, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a unique and delicious dining experience. It’s a hidden gem in Walnut Creek, and I can’t wait to return to explore more of their delectable offerings.

Imagine stepping into a culinary paradise, hidden like a rare gem in the heart of Walnut Creek. This restaurant isn’t just good; it’s a revelation, a symphony of flavors waiting to be discovered.

Last night, we arrived late, yet they graciously reopened their doors just for us. The hospitality? Unparalleled.

Now, the food – oh, the food! It’s a love letter to your taste buds. The chicken kabob? Not just any chicken. This is the kind of succulent, flavor-infused chicken that seems to dance on your palate, melting away like a savory dream. Each bite is a standalone masterpiece, bursting with rich, perfectly balanced spices.

The portions? Generous is an understatement. It’s a feast fit for royalty, served at prices that feel like a steal. You leave not just satisfied, but delighted at the value.

And the doogh – their house-made yogurt drink is a refreshing masterpiece, the perfect companion to their exquisite dishes.

Walnut Creek, you’re sitting on a goldmine of Middle Eastern culinary excellence. Whether you’re a connoisseur or just craving something extraordinary, this is your destination.

Finish it off with their ice cream – a sweet note to end a dining experience that’s nothing short of ecstatic. This isn’t just a meal; it’s a journey of flavors you’ll want to relive again and again.

Hit this restaurant last night and was really pleased with the food! The guy (owner) is really sweet and nice, the food was also very delicious especially the qabali pulao and sheer yakh! Those two items were sooooo delicious and the owner himself was explaining everything and how the food is housemade. The only problem I would say was the female waitress, she didn’t know how to handle customers and the chapli kabob could be better but everything else was delish!
