We came in on a Saturday and we walked in for dinner. We walked straight to the counter to see if we needed to order at the counter or if we needed to be seated…they seated us after being greeted by them. We got chips and salsa and beans, the beans needed a little more salt for me but I don’t think they were under seasoned or bland I just prefer my food with a little more salt since it enhances the rest of the flavors on it.
we got our drinks ordered along with 3 things, the quesabirria Tacos with consome (broth), the green chicken enchiladas with the green spaghetti, and the beef milanesa plate. Everything was absolutely delicious! tacos seasoned just perfectly, consome, texture and and all ! Which is kinda rare to find some really good quesabirrias if I’m being honest. enchiladas had great salsa on them and paired really well with the spaghetti I think it’s like a poblano sauce. I stole some milanesa from my husband and the crisp was great he loved his dish overall I loved how attentive our waitress and staff was, we were asked multiple times if we needed anything. if I wanted to be transparent with you the only thing was the beans needed a little bit more salt for my taste buds but they were in no way bland I just think salt is a personal thing depending on your taste buds . Everything else was salted and seasoned beautifully I would change absolutely nothing on the flavor. Oh and aesthetically I think they’re really cute, I love their plates!
The hostess was very nice. The server wasn’t exciting about the food and seemed to apologize for the food a lot to the guests, but did a good job taking care of the tables and waiting on them.
As far as the food, we were all disappointed. We tried gorditas, enchiladas, tortas, tacos, and every dish we tried was unfortunately a miss. Everyone agreed that there wasn’t much flavor in any of the dishes and as a result, no one actually finished their food.
The price was a little high for the quality of the food.
As we scanned the other tables we noticed it was a common theme to try the food and not finish the dish.
I surveyed each member in our party and asked if they would eat here again so I could write a summary review, and unfortunately every member said no.
I do hope they are able to fix these issues as I’d like for every restaurant to be successful, but reviews must stay honest in order to know what needs to be done to improve.
Update: apparently 3 adults in our party ended up with a stomach bug and were sick through the night.
I LOVED IT !!!
Chilaquiles plate , Cafe de olla and the galleta María pancake were the bomb everything 10/10 !!!!!!
Prices are good for the food plates are well served
