The BEST, most authentic Mexican food we’ve ever had. It was so delicious and full of flavour. The meat was tender, veggies fresh. The service was wonderful as well and the atmosphere is small but inviting and full of Hispanic art. This place is BYOB, so come prepared! This place never disappoints and they make you feel like you’re visiting their home.

Hands down my all-time favorite Mexican restaurant in the tri-state area. The food at La Cita is absolutely incredible everything is fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared every time we come. From the drinks to the appetizers and main dishes, you can tell they truly care about quality and consistency.

We came here with no reservation on a Saturday night and were seated immediately. My husband and I shared the appetizer sampler, and the dinner platter that offered 4 different kinds of meat. The food was delicious, and both dishes were enough for us to split with some leftovers to take home. I would definitely recommend getting their guac, as that was probably my favorite thing on the appetizer sampler. I wish the appetizer came with more chips, and the entree came with more rice. Service was fast and great. Overall, this was a fantastic meal and I will definitely return!

This is a small quaint BYOB authentic Mexican restaurant in Cherry Hill. I was able to a table for two for a walk in. It looked like they did a lot of take out orders/Uber Eats.
I ordered sweet plantains and Elote as an appetizer. My lady ordered fish tacos, she specifically loved the shrimp version. I ordered Al pastor and I forgot the other name. Both equally good and tasty.
Great prices, and great service. Parking isn’t the best because it fills up.
PS, their free chip and salsa is an added bonus. They pour a nice brown bean sauce over the freshly made chips.

Found this place by chance and it is soooo good! Steak tacos were fantastic (must get the cream Fresca on top) and the pico de gallo was so fresh. We also received a cheesecake on the house which was delicious. Mary was a fantastic server and the restaurant really works as a team, owner included, to make you feel welcome. We will definitely be back!

I recently visited La Cita Mexican Restaurant and unfortunately the experience didn’t quite meet expectations. While the food arrived very quickly, it felt too fast—almost as if it was rushed. Because of that, the flavors just weren’t there. The dishes lacked depth and seasoning, and it didn’t feel like enough care or “love” was able to go into the preparation to really bring the food to life.
The service was another area that could use improvement. During our visit, the staff didn’t seem very attentive and spent a noticeable amount of time sitting around rather than checking in, refilling drinks, or engaging with guests. It made the overall experience feel less welcoming than it should have been.
That said, I do believe every restaurant deserves a second chance. I’d be open to coming back again in hopes that the flavors are stronger, the pacing feels more intentional, and the service is more engaged. There’s potential here, and with a bit more attention to both food and service, this could be a much better dining experience.

Amazing tacos and food! Nice small but cozy restaurant, it is BYOB as well. We got Birria Tacos, the taco sampler, and tried the Queso Fundido. I love the fried fish tacos!! Everything came out hot, the staff is friendly and attentive. I highly recommend la cita. I will be back.

The food was legit amazing. The flavor was too notch. All the ingredients were fresh, and the items were made to order. The tacos, guacamole, and chili relenos were some of the best I have ever had. Definitely will come back, and I definitely recommend this place, you will not be disappointed.

Came for lunch today with our weekly lunch group. There are six of us total and one word sums everything up…. Wow!! Everything we had was absolutely delicious. The queso was AMAZING! The service was fantastic and our server was perfect. She was cheerful and helped us select things we would enjoy. My wife and I have passed this place for years and we finally decided to try it. Thank goodness we did because we’re already planning our next trip back. It was a fabulous meal absolutely fantastic. I cannot overstate just how delicious our lunches were. This hidden gem is the best Mexican restaurant in the cherry hill nj area bar none. Thank you for a fabulous lunch we’ll see you in two weeks.
