A very cute spot. I was on my lunch break and decided to see what was around, noticed this spot and ordered the quesabirria tacos to go. I appreciate their clear menu, it did not overwhelm me like other menus do. The food was delicious!!! The ingredients are fresh and I can tell the food is made with care ♡ I will definitely go back and try other items. Service is friendly and I adore all the decorations.

In terms of getting to this spot; I personally recommend taking public transit & walking over. Parking downtown SF area is generally difficult.

Portions are great and it seems like a quiet spot for the time being. Me and my wife enjoyed a very nice meal.

I think this place is a labor of love and deserves some attention. Give it a shot! I don’t think you’ll be disappointed!

We got the birria ramen and chicken enchiladas (with the stuffed churros to go)

Great food. Very friendly owners/family-run business. They could definitely use some help with marketing but the food is excellent and reasonably priced. Best low-priced Mexican food in the area.

Large portions for price! The enchiladas and birria ramen are delicious. The restaurant is small, but feels cozy. It was decorated for Valentine’s Day, which I thought was sweet. Staff is kind as well.

I ordered the Chicken Mole to go, they served me (house made?) chips with bean dip, red and green sauce while I waited- which was not long at all. All delicious. The Mole had 2 pieces of chicken drenched in a pool of seriously tasty mole sauce (which I was told was from Mexico) the chicken meat was “falling off the bone” cooked to perfection, the black beans and rice were delicious as were the corn tortillas. The temperature & portion size of the food was great too. I will definitely be returning to try other items on the menu!

Stayed in San Francisco for a day and found this hidden gem. The tacos are incredibly flavorful and taste very organic—honestly felt like I was back in Mexico eating authentic street tacos. The chorizo and al pastor are fresh, juicy, and full of flavor, and the handmade tortillas really set them apart. Everything was fresh and delicious. Amazing food and 100% recommended!

May have found my new favorite Mexican place in SF. We were outside deciding where to eat and a guy who was leaving said it was delicious so we gave it a try. I tried the mole, green enchiladas and a quesabirria taco.

All of it was great but I will definitely get getting the enchiladas and quesabirria again.

There were two parties who ordered the quesabirria ramen which seemed popular. It is a little tight inside but definitely give this place a try!

Myriad was knowledgeable of the menu and cordial towards us. As a tourist from Florida, I was quite impressed with the food and hospitality. Give Miriam her flowers.

Tourist from LA here, we came to La China Poblana after running around SF all day and it was just what we needed. We got los camarones enchipotlados y el pollo en pipián rojo, both were so good I wish I got a picture of them but we couldn’t wait lol! In addition, you can tell the tortillas were handmade just by smelling them, definitely a plus in my book.
Overall everything was so great. The service was amazing and the food was next level!! Will come back here next time we are in SF!
