From Lawton, Michigan, visiting from out of state, sought out best Mexican bakery in town, “El Central” was among the list. This place is perfect! A variety of baked goods have an amazing aroma, taste, and totally satisfying! Highly recommended. SUPER FRESH AND TEXTURE OF BREAD MELTS IN YOUR MOUTH!!

We’ve stopped here several times while on a walk to pick up a few baked goods. The Mexican sweet breads are really good, as are the donuts and cinnamon rolls. One of the women behind the counter also let us know they do tamales as well. We’ve had those a few times and they are very tasty and cheap.

I placed an order for a cake and was very upset I asked for a ROUND tres leches with strawberries and a unique design and got the opposite. I didn’t need the cake until Saturday and instead of calling me during the week to let me know they couldn’t make it how I wanted it they made it how they wanted it and waited till I picked up the cake to let me know. When I got there I got a big surprise what was more upsetting is I had paid the day I placed the order and all they could say is it still looks nice and it’s bigger than the one you paid for. My issue wasn’t the money I could have paid for a bigger cake I just wanted it a certain way the worst part was I wasn’t offered a refund or nothing.

Amazing and fresh Mexican baked goods. I had some pan dulce (pictured) and some cookies, they were all perfect. Very friendly staff. Extremely reasonable prices. Great location as well, there’s a free public parking lot just next door. Highly recommended.

It definitely shows this place grew in popularity! Still the same amazing woman working hard even thru these times, she hasn’t stopped! I’m sure I heard the line was out the door today. I have no problem waiting as long as I had to. Who else would complain having to be inside a place that smells likes my dreams have gone to heaven?!

Customer service is just as bad as their bread, they promised to make some companchenas and never fulfilled the promise. Prefer to drive all the way to Chicago for some then deal with their bs.

I ordered my birthday cake from here and it looked like a child had done it. The frosting was sloppy the writing was not centered, misspelled and flat out ugly. The manger was extremely rude she wasn’t professional. She yelled at me and said I could leave the cake without a refund. The cake didn’t even taste good. It was dry and tasted old. Such a waste of money. Definitely will not be coming back. Trash place!!!!

Highly recommended, the bread is fresh, specially if you visit in the morning, service is very basic and needs improvement, but compare to other places it’s very consistent. We’ve been coming here for years and will continue to come.
