I will start by saying I am not from Salina. Here for work and wanting to try recommended places in this town.
the pros: service was great. The pan fried taco shell is delicious.
Okay now the cons: food was not good… The chilli con queso is basically tomato soup. Do not order it unless you like tomato soup. I got the taco special. I love pan fried tacos. I got ground beef and chicken. Both had no seasoning at all. Very very bland. I had to throw a bunch of salsa (which tasted like ketchup) and salt on it. I got a lime margarita. Not good, and my friends got flavored ones. Not good.
I do not recommend this place for Mexican food. There are better ones in the area….

This place has – HANDS DOWN – the BEST enchiladas I’ve ever had in my life. They dip the tortillas in their ancho chile sauce before cooking and they are to die for!! 5.9/5 stars!! Just try them – you won’t be disappointed.

We were traveling through Salina, and came upon this absolute gem of a restaurant. The food was perfect, tasty, truly wonderful. The vegetables were fresh, the flavors were distinct and complex. The service was attentive, and thoughtful. I would highly highly recommend this restaurant. They serve the best Mexican food I have found in Kansas.

Very friendly staff! Had family feel. Lots of chips, salsa mild, hot salsa wasn’t hot. Ordered the Anthony. Came out fast, like it was already plated . Was okay, nothing to write home to moma. 1st time eating here, I mentioned this to our waitress, she gave us a free bowl of white queso. That was a very nice touch! Overall, food needed more flavor, onions ,cilantro, and jalapeños in my opinion. Didn’t finish my meal, as I was full.

Service was excellent, and the chips and queso were delicious. Unfortunately, the rest of the meal was disappointing. The beans were dry and burnt (which staff acknowledged after serving), the rice lacked flavor, and the enchiladas were overcooked. For a $45 meal for two, the quality did not meet expectations.

From the moment I walked in, I noticed that the staff was not Latino, which made the restaurant feel less authentic. The food was served cold and did not meet my expectations. I ordered a chicken salad without cheese, but it still came with cheese. Overall, I did not have a good experience and would not personally recommend this restaurant.

Ordered the ultimate nachos full order. Got about 6 chips, some steak, and cheese. Called them and they didn’t care one single bit. No remake or refund. Apparently this is the “full order”

We were craving some Mexican food and the place we had chosen was closed for dining so we looked up this place and gave it a shot. Sooooooooo glad we did!!!
We were greeted promptly, seated promptly, and able to order promptly.
We told the hostess this was our 1st time and she graciously welcomed us and informed us that we were able to get a free queso! (YESSSS) That was important to me because she didn’t necessarily have to tell us that because we didn’t know any different.
I don’t know what that queso had in it, but I want some RIGHT NOW as I type lol ANNNND the CHIPS…I think they are now the best chips that I personally have had. The beans that came with the Chimichanga meal was GREAT and flavorful, the rice was a tad dry and a little under seasoned, and the chimichanga was DELISH with alllll of the cheese and you could really taste the pecan in the meat. The grand finale was the fried ice cream y’all. Anyone that desires a good dessert especially if they have never had fried ice cream, don’t even go if you don’t try it. Seriously….WHOAAAAA lol. I’m in love and if I am EVER in this area again I most CERTAINLY will be returning.
