Still pretty great Mexican food! A little understaffed, but no fault of their own I’m sure. The staff worked hard to keep our drinks filled and chips and salsa topped off while we waited. The wait wasn’t long, the price was right and the food was pretty good! The staff tries hard so give them a break and order a margarita while you wait!

Portions were huge, but the taste was bland. If you want Mexican food without the spicy taste of Mexican food then you would probably rate the food 5 stars. I grew up in Mexico and if I want authentic Mexican food I expect it to have some kind of seasoning. Any seasoning at all would make it better. At least I was full at the end. So for $14 a person you will definitely be full. As far as service went. Our order was taken, the food was brought out and we were given the bill at the end.

Manage your expectation when it comes to Mexican food! The atmosphere is pleasant and easy access to parking, and friendly staff. The meat quality was ok for my beef fajitas tacos. I came here with a higher expectation for good Mexican food since the border is not too far away. However, the booze was excellent and highly recommended if you want good drinks to catch up with friends.

La Casita was right next to my hotel, Sierra Suites, and a short walk to 143 Taco Street, both of which you should eat if you are in the area. La Casita had lots of rich sauces and a nice house red wine I enjoyed. Everyone I was with enjoyed their food immensely.
