They have a popular rating based off locals however when you can cook, make and delight in mexican food cuisine this place will totally disappoint you. It disappointed me. Not worth $34 bucks for 2 waters a chimi and green burro enchilada style. Plus shall need to mention the green chili burro enchilada style but served a bean burro, waitress had to have kitchen remake it by then I missed having a hot meal with my hubby because his food sat on the table while he wanted us to eat together waiting on them to correct the order which took over 15 mins. My hubby and I go out to eat together to eat our meal together. That is the whole reason we go out to eat together which is hardly ever to enjoy it together. The taste of the green chili burrito was plain, meat was dry plainly seasoned in a watered down green chili broth, more tortilla than filling. It wasn’t what i would consider a ok or even good burro. It was disappointing to say the lease. The Chips and salsa were blah, chips were cold and if you want what we found out after the fact, if you want chunky salsa they charged us $6.50 for a small bowl. I did questioned the waitress but she had the idgas attitude so what can you do but write a review :). The table sauce they compliment you with if you dine in is blah. My hubby and I are newly to the area but not Arizona it our hometown but we guarantee we wont be back here. There are plenty of other mexican food restaurants in the area left to explore… Happy Travels.

This is a small restaurant that has amazing food. It is traditionally Mexican food but they also serve a small menu of American food also(which is amazing and tastes great too).
I actually loved the food. I have had a few different dishes. The ones with the red salsa over the top are my favorites. One of the things that makes the food taste better than other restaurants is the fact that it actually tastes authentic but the restaurant also serves the food on very thick large dishes that have been heated so your food stays hot throughout the meal.

Ordered some food while passing through. Noticed I was missing some items and I called the restaurant for a refund. They stated I can only come in for a replacement but that’s not an option for me as I don’t live nearby. I explained this and they just said sorry and hung up on me. And won’t answer any follow up calls from me. This occurred 1/17/26 at 1649. Food sucked as well.

Stopped in for dinner on 10/10/25. A terrible experience. The restaurant was filthy, food all over the floor.
After waiting 30+ minutes for food, it came out cold , the wrong order for me and flavorless. Chips were stale, cold and not crisp.
Then the floor show started with a person coming in, seating himself at a table reserved for a party. He was disruptive and tried to start issues with people in the party.
The service was unfriendly, inattentive and slow. I finally tracked down our waitress to get the bill to leave. I had enough.
What a shame, the gila valley was once known for great Mexican food. A disappointment, to say the least.

Was looking for really good Mexican food and I definitely found it. Really nice people. Cute place…. Parking…. Not so much.

It’s obviously a beloved local place but it’s also obvious they are complacent because the service is never very good. Tonight (a slow Thursday, less than half full) our waitress never came back to our table. The bus girl brought us our food. We asked for sour cream with our chips but the sour cream didn’t show up until we had finished our chips, and since our waitress never came back we didn’t have chips to eat with the sour cream or a refill on drinks. The food as always was decent. We also had to go get our own to go boxes. I NEVER leave 1 star reviews but this is the kind of service that loses you customers if you don’t have a loyal, local base that just accepts the terrible service.

The wait was a little long to be seated. As well as the wait for the food. But the place was busy. As well it should be. La Casita is one of the best Mexican restaurants in Graham county. My opinion that is. My wife’s food originally was served lukewarm. They took it with no complaints and heated it. And since her meal had come out before mine originally. By the time hers was heated both our meals were served at the same time. The server never asked if we needed a refill. But once after we received our food was asked if it was fine. And it was. The beans were a little runny. Not sure if they had been thinned out to go further through the rush. But other other than that the meal was great! I recommend the place. And as always my family will be returning.

The food was pretty good. The service was not as friendly as I would have liked. Maybe because it was close to closing time? I’m not sure. But we didn’t feel very welcome. They didn’t refill our beverages once. We wanted to get fried ice cream when we came in but by the time we were done eating we didn’t want to risk it with the vibe that was going on. Also, the bathroom was like an INFERNO it was so HOT in there!

Its a little brick building on the side of the road PACKED with people for good reason. The machaca tostada was delicious and so was the plate. But be warned, swap the taco ground meat with machaca cause the regular beef is ground smaller than sand lol.
