Delicious Authentic Mexican and Salvadoran Food.
This is a small, family operated restaurant. Nothing fancy on the inside or outside. Tables or comfortable booths available. Easy to find and easy access on Highway 7, in Dardanelle. Great friendly attentive service. A large variety on the menu to choose from, both Mexican and Salvadoran. The food is very good.
Complementary chips and tasty salsa come with the meals. Ask for the salsa picante in the plastic squirt bottle if you need heat. I had the carne asada my wife had the simple but tasty lunch special, one beef enchilada with authentic red sauce. My carne asada was a thin tender sliced flank steak; nice flavor with a bonus, a chili toreado to make it perfect. The plate also had a little guacamole, pico and sour cream. The beans and rice on both meals very good. Check the pictures for the menu and food.

We felt very discriminated against during our meal. Our waitress had such a bad attitude towards my wife and I from the very beginning. She never smiled or was polite. She basically threw the plate on the table. We never had our drinks refilled or were rushed to check out. I went to the car and waited for my wife as she visited the ladies room. She overheard the waitresses conversation, en espanol, about their thoughts about us.
I am very aware of the state of things in the country and go out of my way to prevent discrimination of anyone. I don’t understand why people perpetuate discrimination. Also, the hand made tortillas were not cooked and the portions were very small.
Good news is, we don’t ever have to go back and I’m a very vocal local and will let everyone know about my experience.

I did something today, that I never do. I walked out without paying for what I ordered. I only did so after waiting for 30 minutes after ordering 2 plates. About 15-20 minutes after I ordered, a group of 6 took a table and were delivered their plates within maybe five minutes of sitting down.
I did call the restaurant after leaving. When I asked if they understood why we left, the waitress stated that I was confused because “the hispanics” got their food before us. She said I was the one misunderstanding because the other table had called in their order ahead of time.
Please name another restaurant that practices “calling ahead an order for an entire table dining in”.
Understand, when I say that it has nothing to do with the group’s religion, ethnicity, profession, race, or shoe size. It has to do with the favoritism practiced by allowing them to call ahead.
This set me up for a not-so-great afternoon at work with an empty stomach and leaving me with a very sour taste in my mouth that I won’t foget. I live in Dardanelle and used to be a regular but will no longer be visiting.

We were on a day date from Conway to visit holla bend and were hungry after our excursion. We ventured into La Casa Del Sol and what a treat that way. Clean facility, friendly staff, amazing food and VERY reasonably priced. We will be back!

We were driving through Dardanelle and stopped at La Casa Del Sol for breakfast. I ordered the Desayuno Salvedoreno and my husband ordered the Huevos con Chroizo. Both dishes were great. I loved the fried plantains and the salsa, which you can customize the spiciness level to your liking. Glendy’s was so sweet, and even came to let us know that it was raining and our car windows were down. Overall, it was a great experience, and we will definitely be back if we are ever in the area!

I’m from California I was looking for some Salvadorian food and this was the only place near one of the waitresses did not only take my food to the wrong table but try serving it back to me after the other party had Breathe all over it Covid-19 could be relax in some areas but is still a dangerous virus in which is my choice to be extremely careful with it then when I return the food waitress turn around with such nasty attitude and told the other waiters then they treated me so different and made me feel very discriminated they attend caucasian customers with better service then Latinos and the funny part is there Latinos them self when the other waitress noticed my upset look she walk over to apologize but by that time It was to late and I already felt such discriminating vibe not only was the hand made tortillas not cook well but the very small portion off cabbage for the pupusas and the Salvadorian breakfast was very oily. I don’t understand why people still discriminate till this day when I told the waitress Gladys about she gave me a nasty attitude and I told her this would be unexplainable In California she told me well this is Arkansas and they start recording me and all I did was to bring awareness off there horrible service really but I will never eat here even if they pay me so my Latino people if you don’t want to feel discriminated please don’t support this business and I think they need to place a fly catcher as well cause they have flys flying in the restaurant so if you don’t want to get sick think about it twice I will write a review in every social platform there is on there restaurant and contact the Better Business Bureau in Arkansas if they have one this restaurant needs to be look at by the health department as well I will not stop till this place closes down because I gat food poisoning as well
