Visited for the first time last December. A longtime patron of the place praised it as we walked in. Colorful cultural decor. Chips and sauce complimentary. Extensive menu (including breakfast items). The enchiladas suizas I ordered were well done and the accompanying beans and rice were light and flavorful. “German”, our server, greeted us right away and offered meal recommendations. The food came out promptly, despite him working the floor alone, and he quickly made a needed adjustment to the wife’s order without any hassle or cost. Overall, a good experience.

This is a hidden gem for us when we are nearby working. Such good Mexican food! The best thing after a big day! If you are on the fence get in here. Everything is good!

i cannot speak highly enough of the staff here. my aunt and i come every few weeks, the food is absolutely delicious, the drinks are amazing, but the service is what’s made us regulars. everyone here is truly so kind and generous and attentive, they make you feel like family. delicious carne asada, tortillas, and horchata.

I’ve been bringing my dad his favorite Chili Colorado dish from restaurants all over SD this year. He said, the flavor in this dish was top 2 – that was very surprising since he is picky. Quaint, colorful Hispanic atmosphere similar to Old Town. Waiter was so kind! Glad I tried this place. I will be back : )

The hosts were incredibly friendly and accommodating. We had several mistakes in our orders which were quickly corrected. The air conditioning in here is not adequate for El cajon in the monsoon weather. I liked the vibe but I will wait for cooler weather to come back.

This isn’t a “taco shop”, so I think we ordered the wrong type of food, rolled tacos and a burrito. I’m sure their restaurant type food is great, though I ve never tried it. I got 5 rolled tacos with all the toppings, it just wasn’t great and there’s some bitter cheese, maybe cotija? that I didn’t care for, needed more guac. My dad had rolled tacos with just cheese, and he thought they had a good flavor at first but not so much as he kept eating. My husband’s carne asada burrito was made from a dense tortilla, and had lettuce and cream, and some guac along with the carne. I also didn’t much like the salsa.
I don’t think I’ll ever go back because they had dine in even though that’s not allowed right now. I understand why they would, but I don’t support that when the hospitals are almost maxed out.

This is a sleeper for sure!
Everything was scratch made and very authentic down to the Jalepeno poppers.
Service and wait times were very good.

They have the best staff ever. Their food is really good and it’s a cozy little place. I celebrated my birthday here today and they were super cool. I got some free dessert, they sang me a song and even put a sombrero on my head. LOL.
