Our first time at La Carreta. We ordered Ropa Vieja with Moro Rice and sweet plantains plus some Lechón Roasted Pork. The Food and Service were great so definitely recommend. Don’t miss out on the Yuca Frita (Cassava) Appetizer!

The bread and plantains with the mojo were great but the ropa vieja and the breaded beef just lacked flavor. Barely any seasoning. Felt it lacked

Not sure if the ladies working the window need a measurement tool but how can you advertise a 12oz drink while only leaving 6oz in it? Whether intentional shortening or accidental let me be the person to tell you that you should steer clear of buying beverages through a delivery service. I’ve personally seen generous portions at an Asian restaurant food sampling tray.

I am a frequent customer, eating here with my family on Fridays and Saturdays. Today was the 3rd Saturday in a row wherein I am served beef liver, which I specifically come here to eat but it was so full of fat and to top it of, it was also served cold and I was unable to eat it. Beef liver has to be served freshly cooked and cleared off all fat. Despite bringing it to the attention of the waitress, the only thing she had to say was that she had mentioned it to the manager. When I left the restaurant, I called and spoke to the manager, Fernando, who never even came by my table to address the issue. All he had to say is that while I was there, he was speaking to the cook. Well Fernando, you should of addressed me first and then the cook because it gave me more motivation to make this post to warn others. I clearly saw you walk past me and were sitting in the booth right behind mine and could have easily taken care of situation if you cared. If I were the owner of the restaurant, I’d be concerned about having you as the manager representing me. Certainly, you are a reflection of what your cooks represent. You have lost a great customer who will no longer be visiting your restaurant. Terrible customer service! Check#1064, Table 116, 2/7/26 6:49pm, server Helen B, total $77.01

Last night, Saturday, January 3rd, my husband and I went to our favorite restaurant, La Carreta in Miramar. We like the atmosphere, the food, and above all, we have always received excellent service there, until last night. From the moment my husband and I walked in, they seated us at a table I didn’t like, and when I mentioned it, the hostess refused to move us to a different table; she simply left us there, ignoring me.Then, the waitress, completely lacking in professional ethics, was not courteous and didn’t even introduce herself. When ordering the drinks, I requested extra lemon or lime, and after insisting several times, she finally brought it to me.After ordering our meal, which was excellent as always, we decided to order dessert. I asked the waitress what desserts they had, and she told me to look at the menu, as they were all listed there. In conclusion, we will continue to be regular customers of the restaurant, as we enjoy it, but from now on we will request where we want to sit and who we want to serve us.

My rating is based on the food and coffee available at the take out window. The baked pastries and fried foods are delicious and I consider them absolutely authentic. And don’t forget the Cuban coffee, very rich and sweet. I am not a fan of the indoor part of the restaurant.

La Carreta is an excepcional diner place. However,.this Miramar Branch, is still.good but you may not find the high dining standards you may find in another. For example, when I visited there was no chicken dishes, or some specials shown at the entrance were not available…

This was my first time here at this restaurant. The waitress was nice and she was good about taking out order, getting our food to us and then we didn’t see her anymore. She didn’t come back to fill our glasses with more water and she didn’t come back to check on us. We had to flag her down for the check. The food was hot but the fries were a bit hard. Please retrain your wait staff to check on your customers and don’t over cook the fries.

You would like this one the Fish soup I ordered on the special menu did not taste like fish nor like nothing. I also ordered some fries and Media Noche that tasted like the fish soup but a bit better. The winner was the fries but for that you can go to McDonalds and cheaper. The service was also poor due to lack of Management. The best food would be at Versalles its parent company but I was in the Miramar area. Avoid La Carreta you will loose your money like I did.
