My wife and I have eaten here for years. It’s the best straightforward Mexican cantina in the area, much better than other local chains. If you’re craving well made favorites like carnitas, fajitas, and combos, this is the place. The margaritas are STRONG, the salsa bar is yummy.

Great local spot! The beef tip fried chimichangas and rice were amazing, but the beans stole the show. Guac wasn’t very good. Doesn’t taste freshly made. I could be wrong. 8/10 experience for the price range! Highly recommended!

I purchase a take out 1 item from the menu, nachos caretta, when the cashier ran me up, my card was charge $16. and some change. I look at my credit card statement, the restaurant $27.22 for the food. I call and it seem that they don’t care, I travel all over the states, and now I have to the restaurant and talk to them, now wasting more of my time just to travel from Atlanta to Weaverville to get credit $11 back. So be aware of this restaurant on your credit card charges, they did it to , I’m sure the can do it someone else. The food is good, but I’m not taking risk if I call them and told them the situation instead try to resolve it, they want me come in the restaurant and verify.

Any location of La Carreta is a safe bet. Great food, excellent service and reasonably priced. We didn’t have to wait to be seated. The server was friendly, took our order and was back in no time. We had kids with us and they were very patient with them, even asking them instead of the parent what they wanted. We’ll be back for sure.

It was awful. We sat at bar and were never acknowledged. The tall guy who was serving was rude. Never took our order but asked people at the bar, who were there after us, if they’d like a drink , when we never were given menus or asked what we’d like to drink. Finally one of the other waiters asked what we’d like. Talk guy was listening but made us drinks we didn’t ask for. We told him we asked for frozen ones and he said they didn’t have them, liar! We always have ordered these. He was so mad he gave the drinks free to people beside us. We walked out. What a poor representation of a restaurant. We will never go to La Carreta again! Go to Andale Way downtown. Homemade food, great margaritas and the staff are amazing and friendly! They have parking too!

Great food! I had the carnitas and the were amazing just bursting with flavor. My hubby had the special dinner and he thought it was wonderful. We shared a flan and being from south Texas, I was not crazy about the Hershey syrup they add around it. The service was great and the atmosphere was vibrant.
