Everything is always delicious. The salsa was better before they changed it, when they changed over to the new branding. But other than that everything is good. The birria tacos are a new favorite.

Recommended by a local, priced right and really fast. Too fast! There is no possible way that the food is cooked to order. I think the servers are also the cooks. They take your order then return with your food immediately! Everything was hot somehow. I think it’s a magic trick?

Always a pleasant experience. Everyone working here is friendly and there’s always a table waiting. The food is pretty typical for a Mexican franchise restaurant but it’s freshly prepared and they’re happy to accommodate changes and special orders.

I enjoyed the Burrito Acapulco filled with freshly sauteed peppers, onions, and plump, juicy shrimp. It was coated in white cheese and served with rice. Two handmade margaritas made only with tequila, lime juice, and triple sec (no sour mix!) Were the perfect accompaniment.

We come here all of the time! The food is always awesome and we got our food in 4 minutes. Today I had an experience that I found really disrespectful. We had an amazing server. He was checking on us multiple times. A manager or the owner (not to sure who he was) came up to us and asked if we needed anything. I asked for a refill and a couple boxes. He got it for us but he yelled at our server. Our server was visibly upset. Our server was maybe gone for 3 minutes. There was no need to yell at him. Absolutely disgusting upper management behavior. I love this place. But that made me super bad. Do better!

The restaurant has changed owners and has a new name. This still is the best Mexican restaurant around Charleston. Food is great. Service is great. Meals are priced perfectly. Atmosphere is wonderful. I highly recommend this business.

Everyone seems to dog this place hard. I’ve never personally had a problem here and the food pretty much tastes like it does in your typical West Virginia “TexMex” style restaurant. I haven’t even had bad service here.

Relatives continually come back here too. I’d say give the place a chance. I’ve nothing bad to say about it, because when I come and order something I’ve always enjoyed it with brief wait times and good service.

I thought this restaurant changed owners. The food tonight was very bland and disgusting.
I order enchiladas and it was mostly lettuce and wasnt even warm. The rest of my party had the same issue..
The service was horrible.. After we seated it was 20 mins before we even had any drinks.
It’s wasn’t that busy.. So they probably don’t have enough employees. The menu was still the old restaurant. Guessing the only thing they changed was the name on the outside of the building. I haven’t visited this restaurant in over a year.. I was soo hopeful it had changed.. Elkview needs a good Mexican restaurant.. But sadly you would be better off going to Charleston and find a different restaurant.. Los Amigos, Roco’s or Plaza Maya. Are all better choices.

Ordered take out today and found when i got home that it was burned to a crisp. The salsa also didn’t taste right and my chips were stale. Pretty mad. What’s going on guys? One week foods great the next it’s not edible! Pretty disappointed.

Love this place. Friendly staff and reasonably priced. My grandfather loved coming here for beers and tacos. I recently visited the area and dropped by for old times sake. It was the same place with the same great people and ice cold beer. They still have a photo of granddad donning a sombrero over the cash register. It says, “We miss you senor Charlie.” Great memories, good times. Awesome neighborhood place!

I’m sorry, the food was kinda bland. the chorizo and cheese was too difficult to use with the chips. They were all very nice though, atmosphere good be more low-key, and less strip mall, former sports bar.
