We wanted to get some quesadilla and ordered from here for to go. The service was fast and the food was good. They even got us a bag of salsa and chips for to go, have not seen that in many restaurants. The Vegetarian quessadilla was full of vegetables, and flavors. For kids menu we got cheese burrito with rice, beans. I do recommend dinning in to eat.

A huge burrito stuffed with grilled chicken, steak, chorizo, and onions, rice and beans all inside covered with a delicious cheese sauce topped with pico de gallo. Highly recommend!
I picked up my meal today and still – perfect. It was served with fresh tortilla chips, that were still warm.

Went here tonight for the first time. Should have been a clue that at dinner time on a Thursday this place was empty. The food have absolutely no flavor
And the portions were extremely small. The best part of the meal was the chips and salsa. Rest of the food was horrible. Be aware that sodas are $4 a pop at this place. Will not be returning. So many other better options to eat at. Sucks we wasted $40.

Went here for lunch time, it was not too crowded. Service was pretty quick. The chips and salsa were very good. I ordered the fajitas which was very good. I would definitely return for another meal.

This place has wonderful food with good flavor and reasonable prices however during the dinner rush they still had stail soft chips and thin queso. The second basket was better though. Everyone was rushed but still very friendly! They were clean, the cleanest Mexican restaurant I’ve seen in Winchester and I’ve almost been to them all.

I’ve been patronizing this restaurant for many years! It’s my go-to for totally authentic, made-from scratch Mexican cuisine! Every single item on the menu is worth trying, you won’t be disappointed…. I prefer authentic, old fashioned Mexican dishes over the more trendy “Tex-Mex” cuisine…. The portions are enormous which is great because that’s my lunch for the following day! A portion size will easily feed 2 people…. I highly recommend this stellar Mexican restaurant in small town Winchester, VA!! Kudos to La Carreta!

I ate at La Carreta Mexican Restaurant for the first time yesterday. I’ve been wanting to try it for months, especially since their parking lot is always packed. I ate a fabulous meal! I started with fresh tortilla chips and queso dip. That was wonderful! Another diner recommended the Quesadilla Grande with steak. My meal came with Spanish rice and a small green salad. The steak was so juicy and delicious! The Quesadila Grande was huge, just like the name. It was stuffed with green peppers, tomatoes, and cheese, along with the thin strips of steak. The whole Quesadilla was covered in a delicious cheese sauce. I was able to eat half of it and brought the rest home along with their chicken soup and flan. Franklin was my server. He was very attentive and pleasant. He even helped me carry my take-home food out to my car! This entire experience was terrific! The prices were very reasonable, too. I can’t wait to go back! Thank you, La Carreta!

Large portions at an affordable price… my kind of place. The staff are very friendly and definitely enhance the experience.
They have an extensive menu and I recommend trying different dishes. That being said, their AL Pastor burrito is my “go to” if I can’t decide.

I truly recommend them completely. Excellent food and kindness. Mr. Marcos is an excellent person. Excellent service. If you have parties or a family reunion, birthday, this is your best option.
