I can not believe that an $18 chimichanga is THIS small and is served looking like this. Waited over 30 minutes for the order, too.
I don’t know what kind of refried beans these are, but I’ve never tasted anything like this stuff.
Went back for a chimichanga that wasn’t burnt, and I received a chimichanga with the jalapeños and onions sprinkled on top.
After having said I wanted them inside.
The asada isn’t really asada either, it’s just thick cut steak strips.
I’m SO disappointed in our first La Cantina experience and I can affirm we will not be back.

Order a shrimp and chicken burrito only to get a tortilla with beef steak in it. Pricey for what u get. Make the drive and go to a bigger town.

It was packed on a Saturday night-we had a short wait until a table came available and staff keep us updated till seated. The fajita platter was hot, tasty, and plentiful. The service was outstanding considering how busy they were, and staff interacted with us throughout the meal. There is much on the menu I need to go back and try!

Here’s an honest review of the place:
The food is really good, aside from one or two things on the menu. And those two items are usually only “iffy” based on how busy they are. A lot of reviews on here complain of long wait times. It’s a small town, and honestly we all just go get food at the same time. The place get’s packed from 5pm onward, so it’s completely understandable that you’d end up waiting a bit longer.
The only food I avoid is their 3 pack tacos. Since I normally only go when it’s busy, they don’t always have the time to drain the beef-greases before putting them on the tacos. The result is a very messy, off-putting meal. HOWEVER, I’d like to say that when they do have time to drain it, it’s delicious. You won’t regret it.
The staff is beyond friendly. I’m extremely picky when it comes to what I like on my food, and trust me, I KNOW for a fact it’s annoying. But I’ve never once gotten the impression that they were annoyed by it. Very accommodating, and attentive. On the rare chance something was wrong, they had no troubles getting it remade for me quickly.
Basically, it’s a great place to eat. Just keep in mind that the place gets swarmed with people around dinner time! I highly recommend it.

It’s too bad i have to give it any stars. $45 for 2 lunch entrees that were inedible. Yes, it says Texmex on the building, but if you think you’re going to get the burrito, beans and rice and it’ll taste like Mexican food, think again. It was disgusting. As i said, inedible. The basket of warm tortilla chips they started us with when we sat down were tasty. Too bad they came from the bottom of the bin and were too smashed up to do into the mild salsa they were served with. Way overpriced and not worth putting in your mouth even at the price of convenience store lunch meals.

Food was good. Margarita was big and tasted good. We enjoyed the food, but the server is what made it memorable and gave it 5 stars. We will definitely make a stop next time

Disappointed after all the reviews. Was definitely not an authentic Mexican place. Playing billboard music instead of mariachi music. Waited 45+ min for our food till we decided it was better to have them bag it to go. The bill was pretty crazy for 4 people. And there was nothing authentic about the food. The beans were not refried. The rice had corn in it and not Mexican style. The burrito had what appeared to be potato ole type potatoes in it. Most likely will never go there again.

They turned my work crew of 7 people away 25 minutes before close. We went to the Dakota Boys restaurant, they stayed open an extra 45 min for us. The food was great, and the staff was amazing.
