Went for lunch…large portions, the salsa and chips were okay. The salsa with onions had very little onion flavor, like they do something to make the onions not be strong. Perhaps that’s so people’s breath isn’t offensive when they head back to the office? I think that was our major take away that there wasn’t any kick of flavor we were hoping for. We will go back to try other dishes. We had a very friendly server and dishes came out quick and fresh.

We had an excellent meal here. My wife’s family is from Guatemala and she absolutely loved the offerings from central America that were more authentic. The staff was extremely friendly, the menu had a lot of unique options, and our desserts were also really good. The portions were big for the price and everything was delicious.

Excellent Mexican Restaurant! We tried this new place and had a great experience. Very friendly. Service was so fast! Beautiful hand painted walls. Don’t forget to order their guacamole as an appetizer!! Amazing. We wish them well. Delicious meals at reasonable prices. We’ll be back for sure.

American Mexican and I loved it! Best Margaritas! What makes this good is that Mexican food is not my go-to and would rather go elsewhere but LaCalera changed my mind. Food is good and I look forward to their pitcher of Margaritas to share with friends! The only problem with this place is that all the servers just seem sad and service is so-so.

The best Mexican restaurant in the McMurray/Canonsburg area, and it’s not even close. Everything is well seasoned with a satisfying heat (guac, queso, salsa, etc.) and I’m pretty sure the soft tortillas are homemade because they had that delicious homemade chew and texture. The large house margarita on the rocks is an enormous mug of drunken fun. The music is a mix of Latino love ballads, so they’re not banging in your ears the whole time (Plaza Azteca, I’m looking at you). This place is really solid all around. The service was good and the server was friendly. The food unfortunately was kind of bland. It needed salt and some seasoning. The guacamole just tasted like plain avocado. The margarita was just ok too. We won’t be back. Which is sad because I wanted to like this place as it is so close to home.

Our family loves Mexican food and have it often. This is definitely our new favorite place. They had the traditional items but also new appetizers and entrees we haven’t tried before…which was fun for our family of foodies. The guacamole was super fresh and the queso was a little too good. I had the quesaberria – which was so delicious with or without the dipping sauces. The house margarita came in a variety of sizes – I had a small and a medium. There was also top shelf tequila to sip, which I also did (just one though!). Finally, the table shared the fried ice cream and the molten lava cake. Though the kids devoured it so fast I didn’t even get a bite. But no worries, because Billy our awesome waiter packed one up for me to bring home!
