As a vegetarian, I’m usually cautious when it comes to Mexican spots, but this place did not disappoint at all. The menu actually had a ton of vegetarian options, and the staff was super helpful in pointing out their favorites. I tried the veggie Fajitas, and honestly, they were bursting with flavor—lots of fresh veggies and perfectly seasoned beans. The guacamole was delicious (like, I could’ve eaten it with a spoon and called it a day ), and the chips were warm and crunchy, clearly made fresh.
What I really loved was how balanced everything tasted—nothing felt too heavy, and each dish had that fresh, homemade vibe that makes you want to order seconds. Even the rice and beans, which sometimes get overlooked, were cooked perfectly and full of flavor. To top it off, I had a refreshing agua fresca that tied the whole meal together.
Overall, this place is definitely going on my list of favorites. Great food, excellent service, and a real win for anyone looking for delicious Mexican cuisine with vegetarian-friendly options. Highly recommend if you’re craving something authentic, fresh, and flavorful! ️
Kid menu is printed on the regular menu and has a lot of options. They gladly substituted for my daughter, she wanted fries instead of rice.
The building is older, but clean and is vertainly satisfactory. It is family-owned, not a chain, so that accounts for some of the differences some may expect.
Parking is free and we were able to park right in front of the restaurant, but I could see parking being very limited when court is in session as the restaurant is located on the town square.
CONs: Chips were cold (expected since it was to go); the pastor beef tacos were on corn tortillas when ordered for flour, but it was consumed and still good without complaints.
We ordered for pick up: Taquitos (traditionally hand rolled, not frozen, packed with meat); Chimichanga, and pastor beef tacos. Chips and salsa came along with the order.
Can’t wait to try more items on the menu
The house salsa- fantastic. It’s very tomato-based with enough kick at the end for the perfect salty and spicy combo.
I got a cheese enchilada, tamale, and chicken taco. Unfortunately each one had a significant flaw.
The cheese enchilada had a great texture but the cheese was so bland. It had ok flavor but lacked any sort of diversity in each bite. Enchilada sauce was good, not great. But adding some more flair to the enchilada was needed.
Tamale- tamale was good! But it didn’t need the ground beef chili on top. It was good by itself and I think the chili took away from how good the tamale was.
Chicken taco- chicken taco had great texture and was loaded with shredded cheese (a good thing). My issue with the chicken was that it had very little flavor. It was muy blanco and was lacking any spice or defining characteristic.
Great prices, great service, great atmosphere, ok food.
