La Cabana is in an easy to access restaurant right on the highway. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated with lots of seating available both inside and outside. The menu is extensive with lunch specials available. The food itself is all right, but not exceptional in taste or in presentation. Prices are a bit high- for example, one taco plus one enchilada and beans (the Speedy Gonzalez) was $9.62 with tax. The music is a bit loud, so it is difficult to carry on a conversation at the table.

My husband and I both love Mexican food and always want to try new places. Last Sunday 4/14/2023 we had to make a trip and you were next door so we decided to do takeout as we had our fur babies with us. The food was very good one we got home and was still very warm. Chips and salsa was was very good. The Texas fajitas was excellent my husband stated and my combo#2 was also very good. The service was very slow and the young man was very apologetic for taking so long as the were short staffed. We understood. A week later went to an event with a friend and we decided to stop and dine in and also ordered takeout for my husband. We were seated outside relatively quick. We waited about 10 to 15 minutes for server to acknowledge us and take our orders. It took a while for our food and my friends food was cold but she ate it anyway. The restaurant didn’t seem extremely busy I ordered the shrimp cocktail and a margarita which both were out standing. My friend ordered chicken enchiladas. While waiting for our food we requested additional chips and salsa which we never received. We were never asked for refills and when done we had to track down our server after waiting 15 min and no sign of them. I hope service improves as the food and drinks are very good.

I’ve been twice. Both times the service was terrible. First time, the server forgot to put my beans and cheese nacho order in. That is the only thing I ordered. Second time, ordered nachos supreme. Finished my beer while waiting for the food. Nachos came out. Never saw the waitress again. Choked down some of the nachos without a drink. Had to flag another waitress down to bring a box and the check. ADIOS AMIGOS, NEVER COMING BACK!!

Finally got to try La Cabana tonight! I had the Pino Loca, a pineapple filled with tender chicken, chorizo, and pineapple, served with rice, beans, guacamole. Delicious! My husband had the Don Juan Special which he enjoyed with chicken, bacon, pineapple. The tortillas were fresh. Next time I want to sample some adult beverages! They look good also. Now I know why so many locals visit this restaurant. It’s next door to Fox’s Pizza and when we go there I’ve seen a lot of people going into La Cabana. I think our server’s name was Monse? Definitely worth checking out. Beautiful interior and decorated so nice and bright!

I had a great time, but that was mainly do to my company. I can’t say I hate this place because the drinks did their job!!! I will come back for alcohol, but the servers never came to get food orders from the whole table and the one person who did order before everyone else wanted to, still never got her food. So I cannot comment on how good the food was, plates never hit our table….

Quite expensive for what you get, especially kids meals. Rice was terrible tasting. Menu pricing was less than what they charged us, so be careful with your receipt.

I do not know how food and service can go so wrong. The salsa was like ketchup w tiny amts of cilantro. The shrimp quesadilla came out w out the guacamole and sour cream, and then when I asked about it, I was told I ordered the wrong thing and had to show them on the menu…there was no seasoning at all on the shrimp and the chicken quesadilla tasted old, as if maybe the tortillas had been sitting out. The margarita was no more than sugar water and the service was not good either. I honestly hate that I hated it, but I did. My daughter enjoyed her enchilada plate however. No seasoning. No personality. No apologies for error. Nothing.
