The spinach and feta cheese croissant was soggy and bland. It tasted like a frozen pastry from the supermarket. Perhaps the other items, which looked great, would be better. UPDATE: other members of our group stopped by the next morning and said that the pastries they tried were very good.

Great Atmosphere & Tasty Food

Really enjoyed the atmosphere at La Brasserie. It’s a comfortable, relaxed space where we could talk easily without raising our voices — a big plus.

I ordered the penne pasta carbonara and it was delicious: creamy, flavorful, and well prepared.

The only reason I’m not giving five stars is that my father‑in‑law wanted skirt steak, and it wasn’t available during our visit. Not a major issue, but it did affect the experience a bit.

Overall, we had a good time and would happily return.

Stumbled upon this place while riding on scooters to find a breakfast spot and it is a hidden gem! So many delicious homemade pastries and fresh fruit cups on display when you enter and friendly staff. Excellent coffee and food with a huge elaborate menu. Service was super quick and so many options. On the pricier end but overall great experience and highly recommend.

The food was fresh, a little overpriced, but that is the area the bistro is in. Our waitress was just okay she spoke in a very low voice and not real prompt. The dining area looked clean. However, the men’s bathroom is in need of a good cleaning. They play thumping dance music way too loud. That makes it hard for you here the person you are dining with. If you’re in the area, try it. Don’t go out of your way to come here.

The grilled chicken sandwich was really good! I swapped the mayo for honey mustard, and it was amazing—I totally recommend trying it that way. I parked in the hospital’s parking garage; it’s hourly. I also tried a guava and cheese pastry, and warmed up, it was out of this world. Really friendly staff.

They had soup on the menu, but it wasn’t available when I got there.

We enjoyed our breakfast here. Pretty crowded, but greeted and seated immediately, with a smile. Coffee was good. We initially were served the wrong order, but it was quickly rectified. Comfortable, week spaced tables in one room with a large partition. Service was friendly and professional. ♿️

The food is amazing. The deserts are really good. We tried the chocolate croissant and the key lime pie. The coffee were okay but more of a milkshake vibe than a cofffee. The servers were great and accommodating. The billing process did take longer than anticipated though. Tipping mandatory.

It feels like you’re walking in a bakery cafe in Paris. The ambiance was calm and welcoming. The menu was easy to read, and ordering was a breeze. Our waitress checked in on us several times. The food did feel room temperature, I wished it was hotter. Other than that, I was completely satisfied! The food was tasty, and the portion said was more than enough. It was walking distance to many other shops and restaurants. This is a must-have while in San Juan. You will not be disappointed. I was too stuffed to try out any pastries or cakes, but there were fresh made sweets daily that you could order.
