We had the most wonderful time here. The tasting menu is the way to go. The leeks were phenomenal. The ambience is intimate. Staff very friendly. LOVE the steak au poivre. We had the rabbit stew with foie gras ravioli which was a nice balance with everything else we had, a solid winter dish. It’s a simpler dish.

This restaurant is a very intimate space. The server was very nice and hospitable. I’d say a bit over priced, the dishes were nice but not “wow”. 200eu for 2 glasses of wine, a g&t, the shared hors d’oeuvres, a main each and a dessert to share. The best dish we had was the rabbit, highly recommend. The mousse was a close contender.

I mean wow. The steak frites was probably one of the best I’ve ever had if not the best, I think about this meal regularly, probably one of the best meals I’ve had in Paris. Staff were amazing, helpful and friendly. The bistro is small and intimate in an upscale setting. I would recommend making a reservation in advance so you don’t miss this. Highly highly recommend!

My experience was not good. The waiters was not friendly and doesn’t has patience to explain to me the menu especially its my first time and the menu in French. The egg with mayonnaise was good. The main dish was the steak it was good. The food was so basic not memorable at all. I wouldn’t come again.

WOW! I am blown away by this establishment. The staff and the food were phenomenal, truly zero complaints. The hospitality was so exceptional that I came for lunch and dinner on the same day and even brought my friends back with me. My new favorite bistrot in Paris. The steak au poivre was easily one of the top five meals of my life.

I was initially disappointed to have not gotten a reservation at Bistrot Paulbert for their famous steak au poivre but found this place as an alternative, and I’m now so glad I did. It’s a refined bistro with a small menu, and a dinner offer of 4 mini appetisers and one main for €69. I was intimidated by the number of appetisers but was reassured that they were small. They were very delicious, especially the oyster and the crab egg! For the main, I had the sirloin steak au poivre which was the best steak I’ve ever had. The sauce was so delicious that I could have eaten it with a spoon. The steak was cooked to perfection; rare and juicy. I didn’t have space for dessert unfortunately but will need to return to try it.

We were late for our reservation and they kindly worked us in to the seating rotation. The service was attentive and helpful. The food was absolutely amazing. We ordered the full experience of four appetizers. I learned that I love leeks. Go figure. The oysters in their delicious vinaigrette were the best I have ever eaten. This is not hyperbole. The main courses and desserts were sublime. La Bourse et La Vie should 100% be on your list of restaurants to try!

Came for the steak frites, but the fresh tarte aux pommes stole our hearts! Great service, slightly pricier than we thought it should be.
