For appetizers we shared the tuna capaccio and crab cakes. Both were very good.
For my entree, I enjoyed the SAUMON AU CABERNET (Hazelnut-crusted salmon, blackberry & cabernet coulis over of spinach & leeks). The crust was nice and the coulis had a nice tangy subtle sweetness.
For my birthday, I was served a (complimentary) nice chocolate mousse excited was plated beautifully. We also shared a wonderful warm flourless chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream.

This was a nice visit. We visited during breakfast / lunch. The facility and the outside were neat, clean and well-maintained.
The service was very good, and Luis was our server. While he was very nice, efficient and courteous, the entire visit was more of a team effort and everyone involved was helping it all be a nice visit.
We arrived towards the end of lunch hours while breakfast was still offered.
I had to knock it down to a four-star review because my hash browns were well past their life as they were beyond crunchy. As if they had been kept warm well past their shelf life. The bacon was the same. Crunchy and brittle. I realize it was because we were ate at the end of their breakfast / lunch hours.
Overall we all enjoyed the visit, but I was a bit disappointed by the serving of “old” breakfast items.
I would return for another visit.

The duck was undercooked and had no flavor at all. The lamb was okay, but definitely not worth the price. The only thing I enjoyed was the dessert, which was actually pretty good.

I know you’ll love their traditional French fare, but you may be surprised to hear this restaurant has an amazing breakfast!!!
I bet the folks standing and waiting next door at Joanie’s don’t realize it! They might also not realize that the two restaurants now have a common owner!
OMG, go here and choose from the wonderful French offerings, including breakfast, lunch or dinner.
The co-owner, Marie, will make sure you can feel the French vibe in the air and on your plate.
We haven’t had a bad meal here.
A lovely neighborhood restaurant with longtime staff who are very attentive.
So many great things on the menu.
The burger is delicious, good sized and unusually not tiny compared to the size of the bun. OMG, I’m drooling as I type.
We love the duck confit benedict for breakfast with option for crispy hash browns, wonderful roasted potatoes or a salad.
Inside and outside seating.
Inside may think you’re in a bistro in Paris or a country village.
Keep coming back eat your way through way through the menu or settle in with your favorites!

Wonderful, warm & friendly restaurant in a pleasant neighbourhood. We have enjoyed such great breakfasts / brunches when visiting San Francisco. La Bohème is so very welcoming to children too & you see many 3-generational families like ours. Staff are exceptionally pleasant, helpful & professional. The eggs here, cooked and served as you wish with delicious accompaniments, are just superb. Merci Marie et tout

Some of the oysters are too iodées, the duck is extremely chewy and not cooked enough. The wine sauce of the duck is bitter, absolutely not reduced enough. The portion is very small compared to the price. The rabbit is dry and too firm. The mustard sauce is too salty however not strong enough, very little taste. Very disappointing food for the price.

Very cute neighborhood french restaurant. The bread and wine were absolutely delicious, and the ambiance is great. The main dishes, however, fell short of expectations. The mussels had an odd flavor that didn’t taste very fresh, and the catch of the day tasted very uninspired. Pasta dish was decent but nothing special. Highlight of the meal was definitely the complimentary baguette.

French resto in the Palo Alto area that has a casual bistro feel. The food was generally your traditional regional French cuisine along with a separate wine list. Service was friendly, helpful and engaging. The resto / bistro atmosphere extends to the outdoor patio which is along and on the street which may be a bit off putting since some tables are situated near the gutter area. There is also live music during the dinner time that we visited which added to the casual feel outdoors. Indoors may provide a more intimate environment vs the outdoors which would cater to larger groups of diners.

This place is one of the best French restaurants in the Bay! Marie and Malik do an excellent job managing the restaurant and making sure everyone is happy. All people were satisfied and I loved the sandwich they had; good flavor! The creme brulee has a nice soft consistency with a sugar layer on top and the chocolate mousse is very soft. Bit expensive with each main course being around 30-40 dollars and appetizers/sandwiches being 10-20 dollars. Overall, great restaurant and great people! 5/5

Very good French restaurant in the Bay Area. Service was a little slow, but entrees were delicious. We ordered the salmon, mussels and duck confit salad. Perfectly paired with a cold Sancerre wine. Based on reviews, the restaurant almost appears to have more visitors for breakfast and brunch, but they have an excellent dinner menu. I also cherish restaurants that have very small menus because that’s an indication of fresh ingredients. There is outdoor seating, great for perfect weather nights. However, the inside is quaint and neatly decorated.
