La Baja is by far my favorite Mexican restaurant in town! Food is delicious, well assembled, and very consistent! I appreciate that they include chips in to-go orders and I love that their quesabirria tacos are juicy and flavorful without being greasy. I’ve only had orders to go, but food is packaged nicely and even in my brief time inside picking up the staff are so friendly and nice, I had a great convo with Axel tonight! Highly recommend La Baja!

We love the food! Appleton doesn’t have anything that compares to La Baja. We drive down to Oshkosh because we enjoy the food that much! It is very flavorful, and has good portions ! The golden margarita is delicious as well! Overall, 10/10 recommend !

We stopped for a quick meal at La Baja before a show. It is a spacious restaurant with simple decor.
Starting with the crispy, warm tortilla chips and salsa they brought right away, we were impressed with the food. We ordered the birria bowl and birria tacos. Both were delicious and nicely presented. Everyone was friendly and attentive. We will definitely return to try other menu items and the homemade desserts.

I have to say this was one of the best authentic Mexican meals I’ve had in a long time. The food was extraordinarily good—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Every dish tasted like it came straight from a family recipe. The seasoning was perfect and the quality was top-tier. If you’re craving real Mexican food, not the watered-down version, this restaurant is a must-try. I’ll definitely be back!

Was in the area for something else and decided to check this place out. Amazing! Perfect! Best chicken taco I’ve ever had. The potatoes were excellent. All the salsas were great! Husband enjoyed the birria and Baja race decor. Chocoflan a nice addition since it’s hard can be hard to find. We will drive ~1 hour to return here.

Literally the best Mexican food in town! This family owned restaurant will make you feel welcomed! Margaritas are hand made, fresh salsa and warm chips, quality ingredients and the most AUTHENTIC Mexican food I’ve had outside of Mexico. A must stop for foodies!! Absolutely an incredible place!!! This is a Local, Family owned Mexican restaurant. This is as authentic as it gets here in Oshkosh! I lived in Miami for 18 years and basically everyones favorite food down there is hispanic cuisine. I’ve had my fair share of Mexican food through it my life, even from Mexico itself. And I could say hands down that this restaurant brings that flavor and vibe straight from their hearts. The food is incredible, the owner Alejandro a great guy always greeting you with a smile. I would love to see this restaurant completely full one day at max capacity. He has put so much work into his food, they deserve all the success that will come their way. They even have authentic Coca-Cola with cane sugar! I definitely recommend coming here if you love food like I do. The fish tacos 100% the burritos filled with meat and not just fillers like rice and beans. The homemade salsa that they have, is SO GOOD. Try the green one ! Green salsa is usually so spicy in other Mexican restaurants that you can’t really enjoy it. They make theirs edible and so flavorful! They even sell it in 8 and 16 oz cups thankfully so you can take some Togo and enjoy at home. As soon as you sit down you are greeted with their home made chips and red salsa, a perfect entrance to snack on while you check their selective menu. I’m glad I came here and hope you guys give them a shot !
