What a quaint, warm atmosphere! My husband & I stopped by for a breakfast date just the two of us & we were not disappointed. The service was inviting, the coffee was hot & refills kept flowing, & the food was absolutely delicious. Fresh & hot, big portion sizes for a great price! We can’t wait to bring our three children back to join us next time, it was such a family friendly atmosphere. This will be our go to breakfast spot in Lebanon for now on!

We recently ordered a cake for my mom’s 80th birthday and wanted something special. My sister and I coordinated with Nicole and she handled all of our special requests -and back and forth 🙂 Our cake was beautiful (like our mama!) and tasted AMAZING! Nicole was great to work with and we couldn’t have been happier with our cake!

We have been eating here for years under the old owners and really enjoyed the food, staff, atmosphere. Once new owners took over, food is still good, but atmosphere is not friendly and service is slow. Not long after new owners took over, I took my 4 year old and friend for breakfast. He was sitting quietly at the kid’s table coloring- within my sight. The owner grabbed a coloring sheet and crayons and escorted him back to my table. Very strange and unnecessary. We went back today for breakfast. We were acknowledged by the owner but never served after several minutes so we got up and left. Will not return.

I had their chicken salad on crescent roll with a cup of tomato soup. It was very good. The portion of chicken salad was particularly generous. I also got a couple of butter cookies that I very much enjoyed. I’ll be going again.

We just moved to town and thought we’d give J Clayborn’s a try. I ordered sausage, eggs and a biscuit. It was good, and a fair price. My wife’s croissant breakfast, however, had mold on the bottom of the croissant. Cook should have caught this before it ever hit the plate. Not the server’s fault, and she was kind enough to comp our meal. A+ for customer service and local diner atmosphere, but had to take off some stars for our first meal being moldy.

Ordered cupcakes for my wedding. I contacted J Clayborn’s bakery a few weeks before the wedding and sent them an email with a photo of some floral cupcakes that I wanted for my wedding. They said decorating them would be no problem. The cupcakes I received were barely decorated, except a set of about 12 decorated floral cupcakes. Here are photos of what I asked for compared to what I received. Would suggest anyone looking for specialty cupcakes to seek services elsewhere.

I cannot stress enough that I called weeks before my wedding to ask if they could decorate cupcakes similar to the photo. The person on the line confirmed that yes, they could in fact decorate these cupcakes the way that I wanted them to. I sent an email with a picture. The bakery told me that they could decorate these cupcakes just like the picture and it shouldn’t be a problem. Well, they didn’t. I got about 12 that were decorated similarly. The other 48 cupcakes were barely decorated (no greenery, hardly any effort) and about 36 of those were just plain white cream. I did not want white cream cupcakes, I wanted colorful flowers for my wedding. This is why I sent a picture and called TWICE to ask if they could perform the task or if I should look elsewhere. I told the woman on the other line how important it was to me for these cupcakes to be decorated really beautifully. They did not pull through. I have a real problem when paying for a service and that service is not rendered. The bakery never contacted me to offer a partial refund or to even apologize.

We opted for cupcakes instead of a wedding cake so the cupcakes were supposed to be the star of the show. I wish I would have went with any other bakery in Lebanon.

Edit: no one attempted to reach out to apologize or respond to my review even though these cupcakes were for my wedding (in place of a wedding cake). These were supposed to be beautiful and they only really put decorating effort into about 12 of them. Having these poorly decorated cupcakes was the equivalent to having a noticeably badly decorated wedding cake. The lady I spoke with told me they could decorate them as the photo showed and I paid the money for that but then failed to provide the discussed finished product. One star. They didn’t come anywhere remotely CLOSE. This was for my wedding. Thanks for the disappointment.

Except for about 12 of the cupcakes, they
were not just decorated plainly, but they looked pretty bad. You can see in the photos they look absolutely nothing like the picture. I wish they would have just told me that they couldn’t decorate them the way that I asked for and paid for. Be warned and spend your money elsewhere.
