Went here today for dinner and as usual the food was delicious. We were a party of three and got the fajita taco salad with veggies, the vegetarian enchiladas with salsa roja, and the cheese quesadilla with veggies. The quesadilla and enchiladas were outstanding – easily an 8/10. A special mention for the salsa that is served with the chips – very flavorful and had the right amount of heat.
Overall, this place is definitely worth the great reviews and the traditional decor inside is also worth a visit!

Slow service but the food is fresh. I got the torta ahogada and the taste was good lots of sauce and bread but they cheaped out by putting a scant amount of pork and other ingredients on the sandwich. Most bites were only bread and sauce. The flan is wonderful.

We went on a Thursday evening at 6:30 and it was empty. The food was fine, and the service was prompt and attentive. The emptiness made me a bit leary, but I assume they do a more robust takeout business. Everyone in our party of 5 seemed fine with their entrees – no complaints. But no exclamations of delight either. The menu offered a nice variety of dishes. All in all, we were happy and wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

This is some of the best Mexican I’ve had in this area. I got carnitas tacos and they were the best I’ve had in a long time. The perfect street taco. The flavors were simple and delicious. Forgot to take my photo before I took out some of the meat (I don’t like my tacos too loaded) so don’t be deceived they give good portions of meats. My mom and sister got the tacos al Pastor and they loved theirs too. This is my new favorite stop for Mexican food!

This is one of my husband and i’s favorite place to go! The food is great and the environment is awesome. I got the enchiladas de mole Verde, obviously it was amazing. Sometimes I get worried if the food is going to be too spicy, but at La Abuela it’s pretty mild. I suggest you try it out! You won’t be disappointed!
