I am originally from El Paso and have never tried this place. I can see why I never did. For so much boasting about this place the experience for my wife and I was subpar, horrible. At the beginning it was nice when we were greeted and taken to our tables. A bit later the server takes our order, mole enchiladas and cheese entomatadas for me. After a while we see that people that got there after us receive their orders. After around 30-35 minutes read this again, 30-35 minutes the server decides to check on our order!!! She returns and says the kitchen lost the ticket and to remind her of our order again which we did. I do understand mistakes are made but what was unacceptable was the fact that when the order came it was wrong!!! The cheese enchiladas had chicken in them,I did not want chicken in them not my preference the flavor combination with the combination of veggies was not to my taste ,the flavor was bland! Why was nothing done to resolve this???? Take accountability from your own mistakes and to something to remedy the situation; if something were done then and there this review would be a positive one! All I ate was just the beans and the cheese! I did NOT drive to this place just to eat beans! Here are pics for your reference. The 1 star is for the mole enchiladas that my wife liked but besides that she was not too happy about making us wait and not doing something to compensate or remedy the situation. If a member of management knew about this we would’ve appreciated something to be done to keep your stars up. For people visiting in the future, if you come to El Paso choose somewhere else to eat. In a scale from 1-10 I give this place a 4

Chiliquiles were absolutely delicious!! I got a mix of the green and the red sauce. The portions are HUGE!! And prices are cheap! They serve the dinner menu for breakfast which is awesome because my husband got a sampler plate and everything was amazing from the chili rellenos to the melt in your mouth beef stew. A must visit if you’re in El Paso.

Oldest family own restaurant in El Paso! 4 generations passed down. Incredible history and the food lives up to the hype. Hands down best Tex-Mex I’ve ever had. Fajitas and flautas were delicious! Really good green salsa & the enchiladas were massive!

The food was delicious, starting with the chips and salsa… very yummy and perfectly salted chips. The waiter was attentive, polite, with quick service. I ordered the chicken burrito and it was very good. Whatever my husband ordered he enjoyed, but gave him food poisoning. It only could’ve been this because for the last couple days prior, we had been eating the same food. I understand that this is probably a fluke, but it’s still not fun to have food poisoning.

Amazing food, amazing staff. Must go spot when in El Paso. Don’t let the exterior appearance scare you off (next to a cemetery, in an industrial area). This is where the locals eat…and you should too!

Awesome historic restaurant and bar. Pictured is mole pollo enchiladas. The presentation of the food is great; it’s like bands of color on a plate. Great taste, well seasoned.

Going back home means going back to real Mexican food in El Paso. It is truly hard to find many restaurants in North Dallas with an authentic Mexican flavor. The restaurant by the graveyards allows those of us who left to come back and quietly wrap our taste buds around THAT 915 taste. If you are from out of town, know that parking is a real problem and YES it’s located next to a cemetery which Zac Bagans featured on one of his most scariest shows. Cashews mom and I left the monkies behind so we could have quality time with our taste buds and not hear one child tell the other “leave me alone.” The restaurant has its bathrooms as you enter and know that it’s a small place so large parties might have not only wait time issues but sitting together.
