LA Rose was a great experience to try Filipino food. The food was flavorful, but not as amazing as other reviews suggested. The food service was slow but the very friendly staff made up for it. Would go again to try more dishes. They unfortunately do not have their own parking lot, so will need to find street parking as the Wendy’s apparently threatens to tow.

Everytime I visit LA, it’s become my non-negotiable that I HAVE to go to LA Rose Cafe.
Quite literally the feeling of having a meal at your Lola’s place. Catch me reminiscing like Anton from Ratatouille everytime I take a bite out of that tocilog. The first time I came here, someone sat down and started playing classic OPM ballads on the piano and it was like I was in a teleserye.
Aside from the atmosphere alone though, the servers are also very attentive. And the food is top-notch. Amazing lechon kawali, lumpia, empanadas, you name it. I always make sure to order some calamansi or buko juice as well.
Overall, a must go when in LA!

Seriously tasty, authentic Filipino food. I live on the east coast where we really don’t have many Filipino options, if it all, so I always make sure to stop by LA Rose Cafe when I’m in LA and every time it’s a guaranteed treat. The staff is incredibly friendly as well! You feel like family while dining here.

A long standing LA gem. Been around since I was a kid. The lovely owner, Lem, passed during the pandemic anyone lucky enough to have known him understands his passion for cooking and treating people like family. He always made me off menu items I craved after traveling in the Phillipines.
Thankfully the team has kept up those high standards and the food quality hasn’t changed one bit. I hope they are around for another 25 years.

My husband is Filipino and he liked the food, it’s similar to a restaurant in the Philippines. Prices are ok and the inside is nicely decorated for Christmas if you go in December.

My favorite Filipino restaurant here in LA! So authentic, it’s like being home and having my own mother’s cooking. Every time I come here, the food never disappoints nor does the customer service!

Such a beautiful restaurant. I came in without looking at the dinning room and boy is it spacious. I ordered the chicken soup (arroz caldo), a plate of freid pork (buchon), the house made limeade(calamansi), and a dessert that had coconut jelly and ice cream (buko pandan). All added up to $41. Gave enough food for me to get full and take a lot back home. They were nice with giving some recommendations. Will definitely come again for sure, but will have to be a monthly thing since I live to far :’).

This is by far the best Filipino restaurant I’ve tried outside the Philippines. If youre craving authentic Filipino food in Los Angeles, L.A. Rose is the place to go. The food is absolutely delicious, the service is excellent, and the ambiance is classy and welcoming, definitely a 10/10 for me.
Their pork belly lechon never disappoints: perfectly crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. And don’t miss their halo-halo. It’s a must-try! The ingredients are authentically Filipino, and their ube halaya tastes just like my grandma’s halaya back home.
They’ve even catered major events like the Grammys, which makes it even more exciting to see Filipino cuisine represented this well outside of the Philippines.❤️
