Soft Opening Night 10/10/25 – I disagree with the 1 star reviews that were just mad that there was miscommunication about opening times, if you’re driving that far, you should have checked first.

The restaurant has a soft opening at 6pm today and the place is very very lovely. The interior is beautiful and the staff was very wonderful. The food was super delicious. We had the squid appetizer that was extremely flavorful and different than most dishes. The ramen bowls were nice, with room for improvement. Broth was amazing, the pork was very delicious and tender. The marinated egg was overcooked but that can be improved on with better timing. The ramen noodles were a bit lackluster, also hoping for additional improvements. The staff was great and very nice, I love the wishing tree and the notes you can add to it. It was a very great experience and it can only get better from here, we’re very much looking forward to returning. I can’t wait to keep trying more items on the menu, I especially love the jars of hot spices on the tables! Really hoping to be able to have a meal in the honeycomb booths the next time we arrive.

The interior design of this place is SO unique! Love the aesthetics and the vibe! I’m not sure who the designer was, but hats off to them! The service was on point and everyone was friendly. The food was phenomenal! I’m def going back asap!! ❤️❤️❤️

We aren’t downtown Gainesville often. I asked a friend what’s good ramen around there and they recommended this place. Oh my gosh it was so good. I got the curry ramen which I cannot recommend enough. My boyfriend got a different kind that he also loved. The Thai tea was really good. The only thing I would skip is the boa bun which is, unfortunately, the only thing I got a photo of. The service was great, every time a server would walk by they would make sure everything was good. I loved the unique seating options. We will be back!

We waited for about 25 minutes for a table, which is what they told us to expect. We were a little disappointed we didn’t get to sit in any of the cool tables. However the food was wonderful! I had the tonkatsu omurice, and I’ve been dreaming about it ever since. It was cool to see them cut it open in front of you. I was also pleasantly surprised by the matcha pudding as I usually don’t like pudding. Service was a little slow, but they were very busy. I would definitely come back here.

Kyuramen has a beautiful interior design and wonderful food. The Yinyang Bowl was my favorite, with one side of the bowl mild and the other side spicy. The Takoyaki Octopus appetizer and Amazing Lemonade round off an excellent meal. Service was professional and friendly. They also know how to take good photos!

Great atmosphere and their Lime Green tea was sooo tasty and refreshing! I got their spicy tonkotsu and my partner got their Curry ramen. Spicy tonkotsu was a 6/10 and curry ramen was a solid 10/10! Wasn’t happy that the pork slices in my ramen were chewy and a bit dry. However, the rest of the bowl was delicious.

The food here is amazing with some of the best ramen I’ve had. The broth was especially good, and the popcorn chicken was delicious too.

The decor is creative and gives off a unique Japanese vibe. I liked how our seating felt private but still open, and the whole place had a great atmosphere.

Service was quick overall with great ramen and a fun ambiance.

I came on a weekday night about an hour before closing and got seated right away. Sat in one of the enclosed booths which was nice for privacy but really echoey, so not great for conversation. The decor was cute, especially the big lantern and wish tree. The place was still pretty busy and had an open kitchen with counter seating.

Prices were on the higher side, so I went with the combo meal for two, which came with two ramens (Sapporo Miso and Tokyo Tonkotsu Shoyu), two drinks (Amazing Lemonade and Thai Iced Tea), and two desserts (Japanese Cherry Blossom Jelly and Matcha Pudding with Red Bean) and popcorn chicken.

The Amazing Lemonade had cucumber juice in it. Refreshing and not too strong of a cucumber flavor. The Thai Tea was sweet, creamy, and had a nice tea aroma. The popcorn chicken was juicy and flavorful, though not super crunchy. Good portion size.

The tonkotsu ramen was bland and watery. It was missing that rich, creamy broth you’d expect, even adding the chili didn’t make it better. The miso ramen was much better: spicy, flavorful, and the noodles were perfectly cooked. The chashu pork was fatty but had good flavor, and the sweet corn was a nice touch. Portions were huge.

The matcha pudding was light and not too sweet, though the milk on top didn’t add much. The cherry blossom jelly looked pretty but tasted a little artificial. Also noticed a few flies around, which was annoying.

I tried to go on opening night last week around dinner time but no one answered the phone and it looked closed from outside

We got to Kyu at about 8:20 and there was a line out the door but we were determined to try the new ramen place in Gainesville. My wife and I were greeted by Erdi as we were peaking at the menu and he went above and beyond to make us feel special and important even this late in the evening. From the impressive structural seating to the quiet rumble from dozens of hungry tables everyone was catered to and made sure to have had a great mean and experience. I can’t recommend it enough and have already talked several coworkers into coming soon. Can’t wait for round two!

Me answer in few word less effort because Kyuramen no effort into food.

Me go Kyuramen Jacksonville. It good. We go Kyuramen here. It bad.

Chicken overcooked. Why it dry and make me jaw hurt. No flavor.
Ramen no flavor. Only garlic. Skinny 2 piece meat. Why chef hates yummy food? Spicy ramen no flavor only spice. Me thought me have Covid lose smell taste.
Dessert fine.

Server talk us 1 time then go new dimension.

Overall sucks. Chef please make food better. Food better when flavor. Flavor is things taste good. Sell store or become dust.
