The restaurant has a soft opening at 6pm today and the place is very very lovely. The interior is beautiful and the staff was very wonderful. The food was super delicious. We had the squid appetizer that was extremely flavorful and different than most dishes. The ramen bowls were nice, with room for improvement. Broth was amazing, the pork was very delicious and tender. The marinated egg was overcooked but that can be improved on with better timing. The ramen noodles were a bit lackluster, also hoping for additional improvements. The staff was great and very nice, I love the wishing tree and the notes you can add to it. It was a very great experience and it can only get better from here, we’re very much looking forward to returning. I can’t wait to keep trying more items on the menu, I especially love the jars of hot spices on the tables! Really hoping to be able to have a meal in the honeycomb booths the next time we arrive.
The decor is creative and gives off a unique Japanese vibe. I liked how our seating felt private but still open, and the whole place had a great atmosphere.
Service was quick overall with great ramen and a fun ambiance.
Prices were on the higher side, so I went with the combo meal for two, which came with two ramens (Sapporo Miso and Tokyo Tonkotsu Shoyu), two drinks (Amazing Lemonade and Thai Iced Tea), and two desserts (Japanese Cherry Blossom Jelly and Matcha Pudding with Red Bean) and popcorn chicken.
The Amazing Lemonade had cucumber juice in it. Refreshing and not too strong of a cucumber flavor. The Thai Tea was sweet, creamy, and had a nice tea aroma. The popcorn chicken was juicy and flavorful, though not super crunchy. Good portion size.
The tonkotsu ramen was bland and watery. It was missing that rich, creamy broth you’d expect, even adding the chili didn’t make it better. The miso ramen was much better: spicy, flavorful, and the noodles were perfectly cooked. The chashu pork was fatty but had good flavor, and the sweet corn was a nice touch. Portions were huge.
The matcha pudding was light and not too sweet, though the milk on top didn’t add much. The cherry blossom jelly looked pretty but tasted a little artificial. Also noticed a few flies around, which was annoying.
I tried to go on opening night last week around dinner time but no one answered the phone and it looked closed from outside
Me go Kyuramen Jacksonville. It good. We go Kyuramen here. It bad.
Chicken overcooked. Why it dry and make me jaw hurt. No flavor.
Ramen no flavor. Only garlic. Skinny 2 piece meat. Why chef hates yummy food? Spicy ramen no flavor only spice. Me thought me have Covid lose smell taste.
Dessert fine.
Server talk us 1 time then go new dimension.
Overall sucks. Chef please make food better. Food better when flavor. Flavor is things taste good. Sell store or become dust.
