The restaurant is well known for its ramen, but I decided to try the omurice since it’s one of my favorite Japanese comfort dishes. The egg was almost perfect—soft, fluffy, and creamy inside, which I really appreciated.
However, the rice was a bit different from the omurice I’ve had in Japan. It’s usually made with simple fried rice, ketchup rice, or sometimes demi-glace sauce, but the rice here tasted more like Chinese-style fried rice with spices. It wasn’t bad, just not what I expected from omurice.
My son ordered the beef and pork skewers, but unfortunately they were a bit tough and dry, and the flavor was quite mild.
That said, the interior of the restaurant was nice and the service was friendly and attentive.

This was my first time there and my boyfriend and I went on a busy Saturday evening so it was a bit hectic at first. The parking was kind of hard to find considering it’s all street parking in a busy area, but we got a good spot and the area is really walkable which is nice. We were on the waitlist for a table for about an hour but we were seated quickly when it was our turn. The service was pretty good considering the amount of people in and out of the restaurant. There’s also so much on the menu I wanted everything! We went with the popcorn chicken, pork bao, tokio spicy ramen, and creamy udon. I really appreciated how fast everything came and how good the food quality is. The ramen broth was sooo yummy and the creamy udon was amazing. I definitely will be back!

Came across this place on social media and finally got the chance to visit on Valentine’s Day. Glad I joined the wait list online prior to heading there because they were pretty busy on this day. We were seated in one of the private booths and what an excellent experience! Every staff member we encountered was friendly and welcoming. The ramen was delicious and you get a generous portion. The gyoza was the best I’ve ever had! Loved the concept of getting a combo meal (app, ramen,Thai tea, and dessert). To top off our experience, they took a Polaroid picture of us and gave us each a rose . Will definitely return and try other items in the menu.

Very solid food. Cute interior and fairly fast (20min) to get a seat during Friday lunchtime.
The chicken ramen and tonkatsu are flavorful, not too salty or oily. Have tasty condiments to add like sauerkraut pepper.
Purple sweet potato fries have a good crunch and accompanied by sweet spicy mayo if you want a sauce.
Egg is cooked well in the omurice and a tasty demi glacé which the waitress recommended as her fave sauce.
Only thing we did not like was the lobster charsu ball because it was too salty. Otherwise it would have been a really good dish as well.
Would recommend coming here. They have a cute honeycomb seating for photo op.

Fantastic Japanese cuisine! We love coming for the ramen, but this time we tried the omurice and some appetizers and we were blown away. Everything came pretty quickly, but it was hot and very fresh. I cannot recommend this place more, I’ve told multiple clients to come and got my brother and sister in law here for date night and they were just as blown away! Definitely worth it just for the reasonable prices as well!

I must confess, I was utterly bamboozled. If, like me, you found yourself seduced by those dreadfully stylish photographs on Google, then one’s dining fortunes are unlikely to prove terribly auspicious. This bustling yet decidedly cosy little nook boasts a rather agreeable ambience, and its beehive-inspired layout – complete with those hexagonal nooks – can comfortably accommodate a pair of diners. Rather amusingly, though, if one labours under the delusion that this is a genuinely authentic Japanese establishment, well, we’ve all been jolly well hoodwinked. I must concede that the Chinese do possess a formidable knack for such ventures. Having sampled authentic Japanese fare only sparingly, I’m hardly qualified to pronounce this one truly bona fide. The menu is most user-friendly, replete with vivid illustrations for effortless selection – though, caveat emptor, not entirely accurate; the ‘Super Bowl’ turns out to be merely a bowl of noodles. Do think twice before ordering, old chap! A curious phenomenon: China, with its extraordinarily rich culinary heritage, seems awfully keen these days on opening Japanese restaurants. Is it a lack of confidence in one’s own gastronomic traditions, or simply that Japanese fare has a certain je ne sais quoi? Perhaps it’s merely my fancy, but the Japanese do appear rather more devoted to preserving their cultural traditions – once they’ve mastered something from China, they cherish it dearly. No offence, I’m just saying. How droll, then, that they scarcely bother opening Chinese restaurants in return! Do enjoy your meal, nonetheless!

My family greatly enjoyed the variety in the selection, especially with the yin-yang bowl. The servers were nice and courteous which made our visit pleasant, and the atmosphere was relaxing. The food was also quite delicious and filling.

Kyuramen, owo owoo ow — we loved the Winchester location so much! The Brookline one is just as amazing, of course. We ordered two ramens, the yakitori platter, creamy udon, and omurice. There were so many other dishes we wanted to try, but our stomachs had their limits. The good news? We’ll definitely be back for round two.
What I love about Kyuramen is how the broth strikes that perfect balance. Rich and satisfying without being heavy. The creamy udon comes in a smaller portion, which makes it an ideal add-on to share or enjoy alongside ramen. If I could tweak anything, I’d wish for a little more heat in the kimchi ramen and a bit more depth of flavor in the omurice.
The Winchester interior really elevates the whole experience. Our private honeycomb booth felt cozy and intimate, the kind of setting that makes food sharing extra fun and conversations flow naturally.
As for parking, I lucked out with a spot right away, though it was limited to an hour. Did I move my car? Absolutely not. I’m not walking away from a table full of happiness just to feed a meter. Luckily, no ticket that day. pure foodie luck!
Already counting down the days until my next visit

I had my skepticism with this being a chain but it really delivered on quality and atmosphere.
Starting with the atmosphere, the place has a very iconic and unique look with the honeycomb 2 person tables. There are then some open tables & others in private booths with a curtain. Everything was well thought out from the labeled spice containers to all the cutlery and glasses with Kyuramen branding. The presentation of all the food was top notch.
Onto the food.
#7 Curry ramen with chashu was quite good. Comforting, creamy broth and the chashu I thought was good quality.
Pork tonkatsu omurice combo with curry sauce – This is not only photo worthy but also really tasty. It is a mild dish and not spicy, but I really enjoyed it. They serve it to you on a nice tray, and cut the egg open and pour on the gravy in front of you. You can also cut it open yourself if you ask. I ate it with lots of the spicy pickled sauerkraut as I do like more spice in my food. The tonkatsu was nice and crispy. It was a little on the tough side though.
Yakitori platter, popcorn chicken and Japanese french fries were all good.
Spicy chili dumplings were solid, although I’ve had better at other restaurants.
Their “Amazing lemonade” was honestly really great and refreshing.
I personally liked the matcha pudding more than the matcha tiramisu.
Highly recommend making a reservation as it can be a long wait.
