Decided to get Hibachi to go. Ordered lunch size with fried rice. I have NEVER seen a larger portion of fried rice! Service was great and the food very fresh and hot. Lunch Hibachi also comes with salad (fresh ginger dressing) and soup. We’ll worth the $. 🙂

I will start by saying I love this place. For a year we went every weekend. The food has always been amazing but it feels like the past year it has really changed. It feels like we’re rushed to eat, and the portions have gotten smaller. Yesterday was just unacceptable, I get a chicken and shrimp hibachi and it’s usually enough to eat but when it was served I knew something was off. How am I paying $80 for dinner and this our portions!? We had to grab dinner afterwards.

I had the hibachi here and it was really good. The service here though was hit or miss, but not enough to deter me from coming back. The unagi (eel) sushi we ordered was really good too. Overall it was a good experience

I’ve been coming here since I was little. It has not changed one bit. The staff is so warm and welcoming and remembers us every time we go. The sushi is delightful and hibachi is such a fun activity with family and friends. Their Saturday lunch special is perfect for enjoying a special meal on a budget. By far, my favorite restaurant.

We went on mothers Day. It was definitely a full house. We ordered a Philadephia Roll and Spicy Tuna Roll for Sushi. We ordered the soft shell crab and calamari for appetizers. We also ordered a hibachi shrimp and scallop for me ( with fried rice), and my husband got swordfish and chicken (with fried rice. Both meals come with soup (we got onion) and salad.
The sushi my husband enjoyed. The soft shelled crab I personally didn’t think was the best as it was over fried on the legs and soggy on the bottom. It was also bland. The calamari had a great crunch but lacked seasoning. The onion soup was delicious but SUPER SALTY. I ate both of ours as my husband ate the salads with ranch dressing. The swordfish my husband said was good, but to me it lacked the depth of flavor I was hoping for. The chicken came to us in small, overcooked pieces. With the veggies. The fried rice was okay but not worth the 2.50 uncharge. The shrimp in were cooked properly but were also underseasoned. The scallops were okay they were either small scallops or sliced up. They were.
The meal wasn’t memorable for the food.
It was the service and that they were fast. However, we wanted to sit at a hibachi table and weren’t given an option.
We had no explanation how to use their menu to order

They’ve got the most fresh sushi in the Kansas City Metro Area, and their Hibachi portions are fantastic even for a big appetite. The atmosphere is as expected for a Hibachi place, but when it’s not busy, it’s peaceful and very relaxing. I dont think it’s a corporate venture either. Quite a few of the people working there are all one family who work well with others in the community. Their ability to care for large groups of people is skillful and with grace. Highly recommended for date night, parties, or just for lunch.
Attached are some photos of our favorite dishes. Poke bowls are bigger than they look, and those noodles are yakisoba(wheat noodles). They’re thinner than they look but large in quantity, remind me much of buttered noodles with veggies and choice of meat(pro-tip: order extra meat).

The sushi is always so fresh and the service is immaculate. The atmosphere is welcoming and fun. They have happy hour up until 6PM on weekdays and we arrived 5 min before not knowing that and they still handed us the happy hour menu. We got there on a Tuesday night and it was busy but they were able to get a table for two seated right away. I would recommend anybody who loves sushi or Japanese food to come here. I’ve also heard their hibachi is super fun and delicious ᵕ̈

First time here and everything was on point. Did the hibachi and the chef was fun. Forgot to take pictures, but it was very filling and took some home. Best fried rice I’ve had in a while.

Delicious and fun! Perfect for a Sunday date. Our hibachi chef was very funny and interactive. Our food was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. The staff was so accommodating. Crab Rangoon was fresh and so good. Spicy crab salad was 10/10. I ordered extra veggies instead of rice and still got white rice, my date was happy to eat it for me. Never an empty drink or an empty plate. We walked in and were seated immediately and the food began flowing which was so perfect because we were starving. I highly recommend this place and they have 4 different sauces including yellow sauce.

I was excited to try this place, but unfortunately the experience didn’t meet expectations.
The rolls were heavily covered in sauces, which seemed to mask the flavor of the ingredients rather than complement them. The rice felt thick and overly compacted, and the filling—especially the spicy tuna—had a processed texture instead of a fresh, clean taste.
Most of the flavor came from the sauces, not from the fish itself. That’s usually a sign that the ingredients aren’t the main focus.
The presentation was decent, but the overall quality felt more like fast, Americanized sushi than authentic or carefully prepared Japanese cuisine.
Service was fine, and the staff was polite, but for the price, I expected fresher ingredients and more balance in flavor.
I hope they consider improving the quality of their core ingredients, because with better fundamentals, this place could be much better.
