Let’s just start with saying the service was excellent. We had no issues with keeping our drinks filled and meals were correct. Everything we tried, the rice and the noodles especially, were delicious! I ate way too much, but was able to take home a to go box also! We were a group of six, and everybody was happy with their meal. The presentation was spot on and very enjoyable! Thank you very much!

They do have gluten free options, but they’re made in the kitchen. The proteins were wonderful. The onion soup was great. The tempura ice cream was decadent. The ambience was lacking. Lastly, it’s unprofessional to have servers arguing in front of customers.

Very fast seating and service. Food came out quick and was delicious! Steak was cooked perfectly as well.

The steak was extremely bland almost as if it were boiled then reheated at the table with zero spices. The calamari was fishy and very rubbery. The range hood was left on all through the meal making it difficult to talk to others at the other side of the table. We wouldn’t recommend this overpriced low quality clip joint to anyone.

This was my first time going to a Japanese Steakhouse and it was an amazing experience. The drinks were great and the food was incredible. Had the yum yum sauce and the other sauce(forgot the name). Sake was good. I had the Tsunami. I will be returning.

Visiting my daughter she wanted hibachi / sushi. The food was good, sushi was fresh and delicious. Staff was super friendly. Only complaint is we felt a bit rushed. Not enough to get upset, but we were in and out in about an hour. Recommend this spot to anyone looking for hibachi and sushi in the area.

Came for my daughter’s birthday last night and while the service and food were spot on, the heat was not. It had to be in the 50’s in the hibachi cooking rooms, maybe even high 40’s. We were freezing! My other daughter left since it was so cold. The manager said the venting system was sucking all the heat out but I’ve been to this place so many times in January (as we go for my daughter’s birthday every year) and never had this happen. We will be back but maybe when they fix the heat.

Upon entry, the savory smells of soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, and onion waft through the air. A large Taiko looming in the entry way, gives the atmosphere of what one might assume is a food festival. I was swiftly greeted by a young man, and asked about seating options, hibachi or dining, I chose dining as the hibachi was crowded with families visiting for the holidays. A sushi bar was also observed near the entry, with no one seated in the area. A friendly waitress came around and asked for drink orders and took appetizers orders, I ordered karaage, and clear soup. I was honestly somewhat confused when asked if I wanted chicken wing karaage. Upon receiving the karaage was clarity, the provided karaage was, in fact, a traditional fried chicken wing, using the standard fried potato starch that karaage is known for, rather than small cutlets of chicken, pork, or fish. I was surprised that along with the karaage, was ranch, a first for me in dipping sauce with karaage, instead of ponzu or kewpie. The flavors were typical for fried chicken, with less soy flavor than one would expect from a karaage marinade. The clear soup was somewhat overpowering in fried onion flavor, a strong fried onion flavor came over the top of the meat broth. I also ordered tori katsu and sesame chicken with steamed rice and fried rice. The tori katsu came served on a bed of lettuce and tomato, using lettuce instead of shredded cabbage, led the panko on the bottom of the katsu to become soggy, the flavors were average for a chicken cutlet and the katsu sauce was too sweet, either too much ketchup or too much brown sugar, hard to tell. The sesame chicken was rather sweet, and had almost no sesame flavor, and the breading was extra soggy. The steamed rice was average, an unseasoned medium grain. The fried rice on the other hand was the star of the meal. Tons of rich shoyu flavor, along with that delicious smokey sesame hibachi oil flavor, fried eggs, and light and airy onions sprinkled in. Respectfully, this restaurant may be a treat for some, and I respect this restaurant and it’s staff are serving a midwest suburbs palate, however my overall experience was barely meeting average expectations for the cuisine, if I recommend anything here, it’s the fried rice.

THIS IS THE ONE AND ONLY REVIEW I’VE EVER WRITTEN/POSTED! It was 17° outside and just as cold on the inside! Everyone was sitting around the tables with their coats on. We asked to move and they accommodated but still more of the same. I asked about the heat not working and guy said it’s because of the temp outside. I said, “NO! Your heat is not working!” He finally admitted the heat was broken. Not even did the heat from the table grills help! They should’ve informed people upon arrival that they had this issue! The entire dining area was filled w people eating w their coats and/or hats on. The no heat thing made the entire experience unpleasant! UNACCEPTABLE! WILL NEVER VISIT THIS PLACE AGAIN!
