I ordered sushi for pickup and want to leave an honest review.
I can’t say it was very tasty. It felt like the sushi was made in a rush, without much attention to detail.
The Lava Roll was edible, but very greasy.
The Geisha and Green Turtle rolls (photos attached): the rice was falling apart and the rolls didn’t hold their shape at all. In one of the photos, it’s hard to even tell what’s inside the roll.
Overall, it’s something you can eat, but not really enjoy. For this price, I expected to feel satisfied with the food, not just full.

We had a 5:30 reservation and were seated at 5:38 PM. Since it was my first time here, I’ll admit I was a little skeptical—but wow. From start to finish, this place was fantastic.
The servers were on point, and our chef, Jay, was funny, engaging, and generous. He explained what he was doing as he cooked, which somehow made the food taste even better. Everything came out hot and perfectly balanced—not too salty, not too spicy and just phenomenal.
We were there for about 70 minutes, and every minute was genuinely enjoyable. We even had leftovers to take home, which says a lot. Also, do not skip the complimentary ice cream. It cleanses the palate and helps wash that sodium out of your throat. I went with the mint chocolate chip—small scoop, big awesomeness.
Quick heads-up: don’t come here if you’re trying to stay under $100. That said, I’m also the guy who ordered two small pours of sake at $37 each, and I regret absolutely nothing. Hence this very happy review.

Server was great, food was great. The chef that was at the table was the worst I have ever seen. Had a mask on, maybe sick? The show that they normally put on during the cooking process was not present tonight. At our table at least, all the other tables seemed to be having a great time with their chef. We got the one that didn’t want to work that night. There is not a place to leave feedback on your website. We have 4 kids that were very bummed by the experience and my daughter’s 9 bday was last night so she was extra bummed. We had to toss her a broccoli to catch with her mouth ourselves after the chef left. She said she wants to break the tradition of going there on bday now. Just thought you all should know.

Great place to eat and drink, food is amazing and the performance / show is the best. Our family goes for special birthday celebrations annually for over 10 years. Highly recommend you check them, especially their golden shrimp 😉 they now have two locations but the original Crystal Lake is still our favorite. Great family run business.

My family loves Kyoto, but the winter months (especially New Years Eve) are always hard because we can’t all fit in the entry way. We waited 1 hr and 15 mins for a NYEve regeneration that we arrived on time for. It was a giant crowd of people smashed together standing and waiting. There just has to be a better way.

This place is awesome! Our party of twelve had a memorable dining experience. The service, food, and attention to detail is outstanding. My 4 yr old grandson was especially awestruck by our chef with the Batman chef hat on! A fun time had by all.

I’m sure hibachi grills are always loud but unless ur sitting right next to the person ur talking to it’s impossible to hear. The food is always the same and usually gives me stomach aches from the amount butter and oil used. The first few times we went it was incredible but it gets old after 10+ visits. Plus the cost. $200 for 2 adults 2 kids. Crazy expensive

We arrived early 5:30 with no reservations and got seated fairly quickly.. i ordered the seafood platter and chose calamari & shrimp.. the chef was exceptional at grilling everything to perfection, seasoning, and entertaining each and everyone at the table. It was an experience to be remembered.
My food was abundant and came out perfectly grilled and seasoned. It comes with soup, salad and even ice cream after words. I ate everything!!
Despite the slightly higher price points than the average dining experience it was well worth it. I would do it again especially for special occasions.
