The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 was because … It’s confusing, there’s 2 and a half restaurants in one. Kyma will say “open” but it’s only The Dock area, which is the outside (very nice) deck area. So just a heads up, read the fine print or call if you’re expecting to eat in Kyma, etc. This may be temporary since they’re doing renovations (Oct 2025)

Great seafood place! We sat outside on the coverred patio and near the end of of the meal as we were enjoying the best chocolate decadence desert it rained really hard so they had these large blinders that they lowered to keep the rain out. It was a neat and delicious experience. Our server, even though she had a full section to handle, never missed a beat. Everything was perfectly prepared

First time here with my husband and it was very nice, food was delicious!! Only complaint is the snow crab legs were salty, no meet and overpriced.
We had the Greek margarita, I’m a margarita kind of girl and this one was one of the best I’ve had so far.
My favorite of all were the steamed mussels, delicious and the price was amazingly right for the freshness.
We will definitely dine here again!!

The staff was incredibly helpful and personable, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. There was plenty of parking, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting—perfect for a relaxed outing with a friend. I had the shrimp cocktail and the colossal crab cake, both of which were exceptionally fresh and full of flavor. The portions were generous, and I’d gladly come back for the same meal again. Great food, great service, and a great vibe all around. I also got to enjoy an espresso with our dessert!

If you want to experience what it feels like to wait forty minutes for something that should take five, then be told nothing, then receive a sad onion scramble pretending to be a western omelet, this is your place. I watched this restaurant transform a simple breakfast order into a full sitcom level disaster.

First they told me on the phone it would be ready in fifteen minutes. I walked down and waited another thirty. That was fine with me, I’m quite patient, if things go well… Somehow in that time period they realized they had no ham. No one said a word about it. No one asked if I wanted a replacement. No one used a single ounce of common sense.

Instead of cutting a slice of ham or Canadian bacon from the exact breakfast I also ordered (eggs benny), the chef decided to serve me an omelet made entirely of onion. Not a hint of meat and not a hint of the ingredients listed on the menu. Just a giant pile of onion folded into eggs. It was almost performance art.

The kitchen manager is also the bartender. Something I’ve yet to see in all my years of working in functional restaurants. They have no expo. They have no system. They have no attention to detail. They have someone bartending, touching money, and telling the “cooks” how to do their job. This diabolical equation is how you get an expensive breakfast that looks like a prank someone would pull on a cooking show contestant.

When I went back to show them the disaster they made, all I got was a lazy apology about being busy. Being busy is never an excuse for serving food that is not even close to what the customer ordered. It takes ten seconds to communicate a missing ingredient. It takes five minutes to make an omelet correctly. Somehow this team could not manage either of those basic tasks. So of course after many pathetic excuses and lack of leadership or management, I got direct and blunt, which was labeled as aggression from the overwhelmed bartender with nothing left to throw at me. Finally admitting they should’ve checked before sending it out. Or maybe hire a new cook with a pulse. Thanks, thats all I was looking for, an apology and a refund, but instead…being defensive and visibly stressed from the early rush of making mimosas.

If you enjoy paying premium prices for food you did not order, and then being brushed off when you point it out, then you may enjoy this place. Otherwise save yourself the time, the frustration, and the onion scented trauma. I attached photos of the masterpiece they tried to pass off as a western omelet so others can avoid the same fate.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary and Valentine’s day here at Kyma we were worried at first because the reviews were pretty concerning. Agree that the food isn’t really worth the price but it was still delicious. Service was great. We had Jordan she was really nice and always filled our water.

Update: service could be a hit or miss. Our waitress today was exceptional, but to and only to her other tables that happened to be guests of Caucasian background! Minimal attendance to our table.

Absolute fine dining experience for seafood.

Food was outstanding. All main courses came with two sides all of which was made to perfection. Even the complimentary bread n butter was delicious.
We found Maryland crab soup and lubster tail some of the best we’ve had in a long time.
Staff was professional, polite and on point with every step of the service. Greg, the server, was amazing.

Thank you for the good food and service.
Will return!

Went there in winter and just two of us. From the outside it gave a diner vibe. Upon entering it initially felt like a bump up from a diner with dark woods and burgundy accents which gave it a bit of a rich feel. But then it became evident there wasn’t any other atmosphere. It felt like just a place for people to eat, one seating after another, after another. Arriving exactly at our reservation time (which I highly recommend), the hostess was direct and seated us promptly. Our table was a two table, side by side with other two toppers (like right next to other couples) with no privacy. We learned a lot about the people next to us, as I am sure they learned a lot about us. Our table was very gooey, to the point where we didn’t want to put our hands or arms on it. I believe the varnish was no good and that table needs to be refinished. Other tables were not like this. On the positive side, nothing was going to slide off the table. My wife’s cloth napkin was probably 100% polyester which was rather non-absorbent and very scratchy on the face and should never be used for restaurant napkins. My napkin was cotton based. The wait staff was very pleasant, bringing our appetizer in nice time. Waitress brought our main entry on time and checked on us, refilling our water several times. The food came out hot, had good proportions, and was DELICIOUS! However, there was no presentation.
Overall, I would say it is an upscale diner at best, but for the price of the meals, I would go to a fine dining restaurant and get a romantic atmosphere, entertainment, and presentation for the same price. I give them a 4 star given I consider it more of a diner than fine-dining restaurant. We probably won’t go back, but if we do, it would be to try the outside eating area, but I do recommend everyone go at least once to decide for themselves.

I hate to leave a negative review but…. I was at Kyma yesterday afternoon at 2. We were seated in an area where the cold air from the front door kept our feet cold. I didn’t realize that there was a lunch menu and a dinner menu. Dinner started at 4. I understand that but ,for advertising as a seafood restaurant the lunch menu left a lot to be desired. There were lots of sandwiches like you would find in a bar. If I want a fish sandwich or a steak sandwich I’m not going to an expensive seafood house. Also, there were a few sides (french fries, cole slaw served in a styrafoam cup, side salad, soup du jour), 2 soups, soup du jour which was maryland crab, and french onion soup. The french onion soup cost extra, some appetizers and 4-5 entrees. The bill was high but we did have 2 appetizers, although no one had any alcoholic drinks, or desserts. We were just disappointed in the lunch menu. Possibly the dinner menu has a lot more seafood on it. The food was good but sadly we will not be going back.
