I’ve been here multiple times as a group of 3. Excellent food and a nice establishment. The mochi was a little subpar and I expected better given how good the rest of the food was. That being said, the main courses are delicious and great portion sizes. They skimped a little on some of the sushi dishes, such as the 2 pieces in one photo, but that’s about the worst I can say about this place. The staff is nice and ensured the table always had a full pitcher of water. Price was around $60-70 each visit, 3 people. Would definitely continue coming here in the future!

I had a great experience at Kusshi and wanted to especially highlight our server, Sebastian. From the moment we were seated, he was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. He made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal without ever being intrusive.
Sebastian was also very knowledgeable about the menu and gave great recommendations. His service really elevated the whole dining experience — it’s clear he takes pride in his work and cares about the guests he serves.
The food and atmosphere were great, but Sebastian’s excellent service is what truly stood out. I’d definitely come back again and would be happy to be served by him in the future.

This was my third visit, and I’ve always had a pleasant experience here.
However, during this visit, the sushi had a bit too much rice and the miso soup was noticeably salty. It felt slightly different from the quality l’ve enjoyed in the past, so l was a little disappointed this time. I hope everything returns to the usual excellent standard on my next visit.

We came for a quick lunch but were impressed by their sushi and lunch combos. They were extremely accommodating and gave generous portions compared to other sushi spots. We will definitely pay another visit!

Really good food at reasonable prices! Husband and I stopped by for a quick bite in the afternoon. Sushi was fresh and the chicken katsu portion was larger than I expected (a nice surprise!) our server was also wonderful. A very nice quick stop overall. I will be back!

I recently dined at Kusshi Sushi and love this place. My husband ordered a small sushi boat and every piece of sushi was fresh, beautifully presented and bursting with favor. I loved the Cherry Blossom Roll – tasty, fresh, and expert preparation. I watched the chef making the sushi boat. What a beautiful art work. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxing and the service was exceptional. The price was reasonable for the quality, making a great value. I highly recommend kusshi to sushi lovers.

Poor girl is running the whole store- she’s the only server and person working the POS. Meanwhile all the men are just on their phones doing nothing!! If anything fire these old men and promote this girl. She was running around the restaurant and literally shaking when taking pick up orders. Free her!!!! Waited 25 minutes for my order that I called for an hour ago only because the girl was solo-ing the whole restaurant:(

20241215 Service was excellent. Our waiter was attentive, and let us know his shift was ending and another waiter would be taking care of us. The Specialty Sushi was good. My favor was Ovi. We also ordered Phoenix, Fire Cracker, and Kusshi, which is no longer on the menu. We are not sure about the cold noodles on the Kusshi roll. The Wasabi was not spicy at all. Both my friend and I got really thirsty from eating, and maybe it’s the soy sauce? The specialty sushi seemed to have too many different things on it that it was hard to taste the sushi itself. I would go with a variety of specialty and some traditional sushi. The total was almost $80 for 4 rolls, for 2 people. They add up fast $$$$!

The wife and I decided to try this new sushi place. We didn’t come here with much in the way of expectations but man was I wrong! The sushi here is top notch, it rates up with some of the best sushi that I’ve had in the DMV. We came for lunch but I think that we must have eaten half of the menu. The place is cozy with an upstairs dining area that looks over the sushi counter. If you are ever in the mood for sushi make sure you come by Kusshi sushi! Our server was Woojin and he was the best!
