2nd time around is indeed sweet! I usually do not finish my rice and one entree but the pork steak (think bistek) was phenomenal. My hubby loved the dinuguan and menudo. The star of the visit was Daniel and his wife. Excellent customer service. I now have a new go to where the food is not out there sitting on the warmer and dry. Keep it up!

My first time taking my family to this Filipino restaurant as recommended to me by a good customer/friend Mr. J Davis. Although the restaurant was hot because their Landlord’s AC failed and waiting for the repair, the Restaurant owners’ good attitude, kind service, and family friendly environment with the Holy Scriptures posted and Beautiful Indoor plants overshadowed the heat. The owner placed their portable fan toward us as we dined in. What they had available was good and flavorful and all my children left no leftovers. Although eating out is not cheap anywhere nowadays, but the experience here was positive. May GOD prospers this restaurant business as the owners and family’s soul prospers in life’s journey.

Lovely little restaurant that offers such rich flavor at great prices. The food is authentic and delicious. I highly recommend the pork bbq skewers and any of the lumpia that they fry, fresh. Check their social media for their rotating offerings. I highly recommend the crispy pork belly, it’s juicy and so filling. If you get adobo, I recommend putting the broth over the rice! It’s become a weekly tradition.

We are from the DC metro area. Been coming to VA Beach to eat Filipino food and for other interests. We travel as far as New Jersey, FL just to have good Flip food. My partner grew up in LA and San Fran where choices of Flip restos are abundant and many are simply delish. I have had my share of experiences of similar.
While on a business trip in Suffolk VA we decided to try Kusina. To say that their food is very good is an under statement. I am a bit picky with what I eat but boy, boy, boy…Kusina had my partner and I ate like we’ve been starving for days.
Service was outstanding and very friendly yet professional. Place was very clean especially compared to most, if not all, Filipino restos i have been both in the East and West coasts. Even the bathroom was very clean.
For sure we will be back in a couple days this week for other menus since they change regularly.

The food quality here is always good. The amount of food you get for the price you pay can’t be beat. The people working here are also always very friendly. If you don’t know what entrees are available, they will take their time to explain what each one is and will answer your questions.

Suffolk is not one of the places in the 757 that I would think of for Filipino food but Kusina is worth a visit if you are close by.
The restaurant is clean and inviting. It is a turo-turo (point point) type restaurant and there is seating. We came in for just a snack but everything they had out looked fresh and delicious! Their menu changes so follow on their social medias for what they have for the day. Service was polite, friendly and helpful in letting customers know about menu items.
We ordered chicken lumpias and chicken siopoa (steamed buns). The lumpias are the long skinny ones…they were fried to order…crispy and tasty.
The siopao was one of the best ones I’ve had in a long time…ALMOST as good as my mom’s. The bun to filling ratio was perfect. The filling was just the right amount of saucy asado and bonus for the slice of egg in the center!
Come out to Suffolk and show Kusina some love! They are doing it right!
