We had a wonderful omakase experience. The chef, Mika, was very friendly and welcoming, taking the time to introduce each dish. The nigiri was absolutely delicious, the sashimi was fresh. My favorite was the scallop. Overall, the service was excellent, and we had a very enjoyable and memorable dining experience.

Took my sister for her birthday meal for an 8PM dinner seating!
Booking: book via tock…if you need to cancel, you can call them, I believe 1-2 days beforehand for a refund.
Requested for bar seating (did mention it would be $20/pp to guarantee) but seems like since i booked early enough and had a bday, so they were willing to accommodate without me needing to pay additional.
2 omakase $185/ea
asahi draft $9
genmai cha $8

My sister thoroughly enjoyed the meal. I personally, probably because I wasn’t that hungry, overall thought it was ok. In my opinion, the chefs here do put more sauce/extra flavors on the fish, which isn’t my preference, as I like the fish to be the main highlight.
Chef Leo was friendly and attentive.
They deduct the tock deposit from the final bill. 20% auto gratuity.
Street parking only.

Pretty good Omakase, although was disappointed by the communication in their service. I called earlier in the day to confirm my reservation was for the counter, to which they confirmed over the phone. When we arrived, they sat us a table when there was clearly space for 2 at the counter. I let the host know and it seemed like an inconvenience to him, yet he was able to move us to the counter. He let us know it would be an additional amount to sit there, which is fine, however the person on the phone failed to mention it whatsoever. Overall, the dinner was good.

Ugh, really really wanted to love this place. This was my fifth omakase (not at this restaurant); the staff were super friendly and attentive but the sushi and flavors were lack luster to off. I also got very very sick as soon as I walked out….that has never happened to me before with sushi and like I said I have sushi from a wide range of places often (and I actually had sushi 3 times this very week already). The space is really small and it doesn’t feel like there’s any special effort to make it fit the price tag…just dim lights, wood chairs, not even a minimalist edge or anything chic. This would not be a place to dress up. The super high rating is a bit confusing. I paid $400/pp for the sushi and sake pairing, which I was happy to do but I do wish the sushi had been worth it . The sake pairing was excellently selected, the flavors went together very well. Altogether, a bit disappointed and very confused as to why I essentially threw up most of it up upon leaving. I’m typically an easy sell and I wish this had been great so I could come back often. I parked in a garage pretty close by, there were a few.

Beautiful restaurant for an evening’s entertainment! The short Omakase tasting menu had 19 different items!!! They were all so varied and delicious! I especially loved the savory umami custard with tobiko fish eggs. The sushi was amazing and each had a different topping such as wasabi or shiso or ginger and chives. The sake and tea were also good. I loved the yuzu/shiso sorbet!

My favorite Japanese restaurant in SF. Every dish is made thoughtfully and is delicious. The tastes are subtle but delicious, delicate and authentic. The Nigata sake was a perfect complement, clean and dry. Really amazing place.
