I was visiting my daughter and wanted something, ANYTHING I couldn’t get at home in MS (which is pretty much everything) I allowed her to pick (of course) she wanted to try something new (at that point I should’ve known bc GA is NOT the place for new things) she wanted sushi and I was hoping we were going to the spot we always go to when I visit but she wanted to sit in (which we’ve never done there). It’s in a strip mall with plenty of parking, it looks closed from the outside but they were open so we stepped in. We started with the hot wok shrimp which were a fusion of Thai and Mexican and they were delicious. Then we went for a salmon roll but it didn’t come out until after the fried rice. The fried rice had this weird taste to it but once I added the yum yum sauce it wasn’t so bad. The salmon rolls came out and it was a further downhill slide from there. They had NO flavor so we sent them back. Then the curry udon came and I was OVER IT! I’m a Chicagoan that KNOWS good food and what came to the table was unappealing to the eye. It was a thick mushy mess. I stared at it for so long before asking “what did we order?” When the server came back to check all I did was point to it and he ran off, then a lady came, which I assumed was in charge. She was not happy and it was thick in her voice. She didn’t like that we refused to eat it and brought up us not liking the rolls. So she oversold another BLAND roll which I drown in spicy mayo, soy sauce and wasabi. My daughter refused to even try it. Would I go back for the hot wok rolls? Not a chance!!! For some reason the owners/managers of the spots in GA can NOT take criticism about their food, I KNOW it’s a local thing and their tastebuds but there’s way too many transplants from CHICAGO and visitors for them to still be combative when a customer tell the truth about the food. Oh well!!!

Kuroshio is a great sushi restaurant in the Kennesaw area. The atmosphere is good, and the food is top-notch. I usually order the volcano roll or cha-cha-cha roll. The menu has many options ranging from specialty sushi rolls, soup entrees, and all kinds of different rice plates and nigiri/sashimi.

Never will go back to the kennesaw location! Please don’t waste your time go to Smyrna! The manger had an attitude that I called and said the rice was not cooked right. Then try to say he don’t see my name. Hun I can bring the receipt! The worst experience! Been going to the Smyrna location for years great service food was always great! But was in kennesaw today and decided we to try something different! Never again! Looks like half cooked rice and it barely had vegetables!

I used to love this place but it has fallen off tremendously. I asked for vegetable fried rice no egg and no carrots. The last time it had zucchini, asparagus, spring onions but today it was like boiled rice with zucchini and asparagus. It was not fried rice. They should be ashamed of charging $13 for such awful food. I will not be going back there.

I love ordering the chicken fried rice w/ extra protein and yum-yum sauce, can’t forget the Sriracha sauce either! I like to pair it w/ Lion King (fully cooked) Salmon sushi! Febe gives excellent customer service! Very caring & sweet! Definitely will be coming again!

Overall pretty good. I have had my share of Japanese food. The Nigiri, temaki and sashimi tasted fresh and the rest of the food was good. The atmosphere is fast and fun. Our server Tina was super nice. The only thing I didn’t like was the sauce on the spicy tuna..it was just too sweet, but that’s just my opinion. Overall good.

Not impressed and not interested in going back. Others swear by it so take the chance if you love > Kroger/Publix sushi.

Arrived at Kuroshio at 5:20pm Friday. Seated immediately. Our server, Ariel was a polite and helpful fellow.
Soft drinks came in a can, so no endless refills.
Ordered appetizers; steamed gyoza and calamari- both were delicious.
Ordered 2 plates of Shrimp and scallop teriyaki. Comes with miso soup and very generous and fresh side ginger salad! Excellent.
The main plate had 6 large scallops, 6 shrimp, and stir fried zucchini as well as steamed (or fried) rice. We had to take some home.
On the negative, we were seated at a couples table, but it was too small for 2 people! If all the food were brought at the same time, it wouldn’t fit.

When I Say I am so Unhappy right Now.
I just ordered 2 Salmon Fried Rices to go.
When I Say the Food Quality was so Horrible.
The Salmon Tasted like it was Reheated in the Microwave.
It was very Hard and Dry.
I Can’t Believe I drove all the way From Dallas Ga. To get this mess!
I paid $42.00 for it too.
They also Charge a Extra $1.50 fee for To Go Orders.
Which I don’t understand why.
I had to wait so long to get my togo order on the Patio.
I Decided to Call the Restaurant
And let them know my Complaint.
I Spoke to the Manager name:
Vichinny
She said I would have to Bring the Food back to get a refund or Exchange.
I told her Dallas Is About 40 mins Away and Very far.
And I wouldn’t be back in the area maybe untill next week.
She told me I have to bring the food in to get a refund.
So she told me to hold on to the food untill next week and bring it back in.
Wow What Horrible CSR.
You will Never have to worry about me Coming back..
You just Lost a Good Customer bc I really use to Love this place!

I so Love the Salmon fried rice and Yum Yum Sauce at this place. I just went back again a few days ago and it was so good.
The Only Con is you have to go to the Patio to pick up your Togo order.
Sometimes it takes awhile for someone to come.
Other than that the food is great.
My 1st Review:

This was my first time dining after seeing a social media post raving about how good the food is.
The service over the phone was excellent.
Food serving- small. I ordered the tofu fried rice and expected a larger serving for the price.
They also charge for take-out.
I am open to giving it another try
