I had an amazing experience at Kuro, the Japanese sushi restaurant inside the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Fort Lauderdale. I was seated at the bar, which I loved because I got to watch the chef cooking right in front of me; such a great experience.
The chef even surprised me with a complimentary sashimi (I’m not sure of the exact name, but it was a white fish), and wow… it was so, so, so good. Super fresh and flavorful.
The service was outstanding. My server was incredibly kind and helpful. Since I wasn’t sure what to order, he suggested a couple of must-try dishes : the Wagyu taco and the crispy tuna rice. and both were absolutely delicious. Perfect recommendations.
There was a big celebration happening in a private room next to me, so it was a bit noisy, but it added to the energy. The atmosphere was lively, animated, and fun, while still feeling very upscale and fancy.
Overall, I loved everything, but the service truly stood out ! easily the best part of my experience. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I come to Kuro at the Hard Rock at least twice a week, and I can honestly say I have never had a bad meal here. The consistency, quality, and attention to detail are unmatched. The sushi is hands down the best I’ve ever had — Chef Jin is a true master of his craft, and every creation that comes out of his kitchen is exceptional. From the Toro Gunkan to the Kuro Special Nigiri, nothing falls short — every dish is absolutely perfect. The rice is always warm and perfectly prepared, showing the incredible care that goes into every bite.

Amazing brunch with bottomless mimosas, Bellinis, bloody Mary’s,aperol spritz, etc. Incredible seafood spread-crab legs, stone crabs, shrimp, mussels, several types of fish. Carving options-beef Wellington, prime rib, lamb. Huge dessert table. Huge sushi and sashimi buffet. Great service! My favorite items were the crab cake benny, the beef Wellington, the shrimp cocktail, and the aperol spritz:)

10/10 meal and experience! The food is superb, simply the closest we have ever been to Japan here in the US. Delicious sashimi and the sushi omakase was so fresh. The service was fantastic, very attentive! Executive Chef Jinchoon Kim made every bite memorable, and our usual American sushi will forever pale in comparison. As a bonus, the desserts were incredible; the matcha cake was so unique, and the brownies with caramel miso sauce were addictive. We can’t wait to come back.

Started off at the bar with Chuti and a top tier expresso martini! She really set the mood for the night to start off right with her fabulous drinks and personality! We headed over to sushi bar and the experience was one of the best I have ever had, from the food to the service everything was amazing. Mickey is such a wonderful sushi chef with amazing attention to detail. I would highly recommend checking out Kuro, you won’t be disappointed! If I could give 100 stars I would!

This is our second time, the first was for my birthday on August 11 and today the second time because its my my wedding anniversary October 30. The cuisine and ambience are excellent, and although I missed my waiter from our first visit, he was most likely absent, I will most certainly return. Since it was my anniversary, I didn’t want to go to the manager because something went wrong with the service tonight. We order from the Experience Menu and state that we have a $150 per person food budget but rhats not limit. I know that I will also be paying for drinks and tips. However, we also ordered wagu beef on hot stone, which I know is an extra fee. The waiter told us it was just $84, but it was actually almost $112. So what me upset me and my wife is that how waitress handle things, she litteraly said “ Well i didnt saw i press 4 oz by mistake but we are still under budget” that phrase piss me off. She could formaly apologise said i am sorry, or discreet tell me for that price change. Even if is my anniversary i pay for everything i dont care for free dessert or drink its ok, and i left 30$ tips. However i think she could handle that differently not telling me we are under budget, because we did have money to extend our stay and experience. Additionally i put 3 star for service and 5 star for everything else just please tell them to pay attention next time, you never know who is at your table. From my side do not need anything for return just please make sure we dont feel bad at your table next time

Kuro is our favorite. By far.
Highlights include:
– crispy rice (pictured)
– wagyu tacos (2 per order)
– tuna + avocado maki
– spicy salmon maki
House roll is great too. Although lately we have preferred the basics over anything crazy.
Skipped alcohol this visit, but always love a libation from the cocktail menu at Kuro.
This menu has limitless possibilities to meet your evening – big baller, quick apps, healthy or indulgent.
Great ambiance and decor. Standing by the host stand before we dine is an extra delight because of the seashell wall.
Super excited to return for another fun night and delicious meal.
