I’ve eaten a lot of sushi in my life time. We ended up at this place because all the power was out across the street and decided to have sushi. Order edamame, ramen, some sushi rolls like the UNC roll and another one similar and some sashimi in the pics. This place also looks like it has a sushi conveyor belt which I generally actively avoid as I like to order sushi and have it made right then. The sushi rolls were good as they had deep friend shrimp in them. The ramen was good but nothing special and did not have high quality ingredients like I’m used to a places that specialize in ramen…like the broth was meh. The edamame was warm up top but by the time we go to the bottom, it was still still frozen. The sashimi was ok and usually I get a side of wasabi with it but nothing came with it. It also took a really long time between the time we ordered until the food came out.

The sushi here wasn’t great, but the good price/value was definitely there. I’d say it’s a small step above grocery store sushi while remaining at grocery store sushi price. Also, you really can’t beat their price for nigiri anywhere else, and it was pretty good. I’d come back just to fulfill my need for nigiri.

This place was great and fast enough service that we forgot to take food pics. However, can confirm this place is excellent. To make up for my lack of food pics here’s a picture of a cat eating sushi which was part of the ambiance in the restaurant. Would absolutely come here again

I just went here for the first time and I can’t wait to go back! Really good and affordable sushi in Chapel Hill. The staff were all super friendly and the atmosphere was very 90s, which was a vibe.

Awesome curry don and curry udon. Curry is Japanese styled like comfort food. Sushi might not be the best but are affordable and consistent. Has a kaiten sushi wheel. Wish there are more varieties of rice bowls. Service is great and all the stuff are extremely nice. Also they have very cute tea pots and tea cups if you want hot water or hot tea.
