Terrible customer service. I went on my lunch break here to grab food. I do it pretty regularly for lunch here. I ordered chicken tempura rolls. I get this roll EVERYWHERE. And it’s always made the same. If you google a chicken tempura rolls it says it’s tempura chicken, avocado, and cucumber. I always ask no cucumber so I get only chicken and avocado. When I say down after driving there to pick it up I go to eat it and it has shredded lettuce in it. Never seen that before. Called to let them know there was a mistake. The girl on the phone said that’s how they’ve always made it. I explained there is no where on the menu that specified a specific way of making these that would be special to the location vs the standard way of making it. I told them I wasn’t going to be able to eat this. I’m autistic and I can’t handle the texture or I’ll throw up. The manager did not care so I guess it just sucks to suck. She refused for me to come back later with the food to show I wouldn’t eat it and get my money back or even an option of remaking it. So I just wasted a whole lunch and money. Really shitty on their part.

We decided to try this establishment because we were in the area but the food and experience overall was underwhelming. The scallops and lobster was very salty, the shrimp tempura sushi was rolled loosely so it kept falling apart, our soup tasted like nothing and they drenched the salad in dressing. The fried rice was simply white rice, soy sauce and a few bits of onions-probably was better off just getting white rice or noodles. We did not get the shrimp appetizer that’s comes with each combo as mentioned on the menu, not sure if it’s because our meal already had shrimps or the chef forgot; my usual go-to hibachi spot gives both. The host was attentive; I appreciate her getting a heater for me. I didn’t m quite like eating with it on the table right next to my face though. Our chef was friendly too, he just used the soy sauce a lot. I thought it was interesting that gratuity was added to the check for a party of two. There was no one else sitting at the table except us; it was mid afternoon around 3pm. I worked as a waitress at all types of restaurants and bars for years. From my experience, both working and dining out, gratuity is usually added to a party of a certain size or after a certain time. I didn’t bother to mention it to the host that brought the check because it’s what I would’ve tipped anyway but it did make me feel uneasy. So I’m not sure if we were profiled but that’s something to also consider when dining here.

The hibachi guy didn’t even have the cute fancy hat on! He only put it on to entertain a bigger party. He had a backwards down baseball cap

The 1st time I was here very disappointed with the food and service. The manager was accommodating and gave us a $20 gift card. 2nd visit was much better. The food is okay and service okay. I love their calamari. There is a 20% gratuity that’s added no matter size of group.

The sushi was good. The portions were good too . Unfortunately, our appetizers came last. The room was cold And the restaurant would not honor a gift card. Saying that was “too old”. Yet in connecticut, Gift cards do not expire. Probably will not go back.

Went last night. Not sure if it’s because we are young but the service sucked. We were the only table with 2 hibachi parties. My appetizer came out 20 minutes after my food. I requested spicy mayo twice and it wasn’t given to me. We weren’t offered refills and didn’t get checked on while eating our food. When I asked for a Togo box for my sushi I asked for spicy mayo Togo (third time asking) and she brought back the boxes but no mayo so I had to ask for a 4th time! I’m still a nice person so I tipped $20 but she didn’t even deserve $5. Stop judging people on their age I was planning on tipping $50 ($150 tab) but her service ruined that for her.

The food is outstanding!!! Great menu and the fish is very fresh. Though it’s nice not to be rushed, service can be a bit slow when you want to order something else or get the check. The restaurant is clean, but it can be very loud. The decor is fairly standard.
Bottom line: go for the food. It is spectacular!

Manipulative billing practices. The check is presented as two receipts stapled together, with the top copy showing the final total and a line to add a tip. However, hidden directly under the staple, if you happen to rip them apart, you’ll find they have already included an 18% “service charge” in your total (not mentioned verbally by the staff, nor written on the menu). We were a party of 2.
By hiding the itemized portion and only showing a final total with a tip line, they appear to deliberately trick customers into tipping twice, pushing the total gratuity to nearly 45%. This feels manipulative and dishonest.
I’d hope that they change this practice.
