I ordered online and was able to walk in and pick it up with ease. The online order estimated about 25 minutes, but my food was ready in closer to 10 to 15 minutes, which was a pleasant surprise.
The restaurant itself is beautiful. I even snapped a couple of photos while using the restroom and grabbing my order. Dining in would definitely be a very enjoyable experience. Another plus is that there is plenty of parking that is free and easy to access, which made stopping in stress free.
The lunch deals are great and the portions are perfect. Most importantly, the food was delicious. I would absolutely try this place again when I’m back in the area.
The space is nicer than your typical strip mall sushi spot. Quiet at ~3pm on a Sunday, though I’d guess it gets busier during normal dinner hours. Our son is non-verbal and autistic, and restaurants are usually a gamble. The volume of the music was perfect. Not quiet and not loud. He ate everything without issue. The California rolls, crab nigiri, lo mein, and fried rice were all approved by him.
Everything came out fresh with a quality that made me realize what we’ve been accepting elsewhere.
Our server kept checking on us at exactly the right times, never making us feel like they were breathing down our necks. Just a quick, “Your appetizers are just a couple of minutes out,” before we even had a chance to wonder. Our drinks never sat empty. The server knew what they were doing, which is even more rare during slower times.
When the bill came, I was surprised. The quality we got felt like it should have cost more. Plus, the same quality California rolls as our old spot, but a couple dollars cheaper. They’re actually put together better than the ones at our old place, honestly. The rest of the food, from the Chicken Fried Rice to the Crab Sticks and the Crab and Cream Cheese Roll, all tasted fresh, and you could tell they put effort into making it right.
Clean throughout, though the bathrooms could use an update.
We’re switching to Kumo.
Kumo Sushi & Asian restaurant is my favorite asian restaurant.
