I don’t know if it was just an off day or if yall ran out of actual chicken but this is the first worst general tso chicken I’ve had. And that’s on me for ordering this from a sushi/hibachi restaurant. The picture I included is the chicken, it looks like the chicken nuggets you get from Walmart and heat up in the oven, they taste almost identical, the sauce…. There is no sauce, the chicken soaked it up and even then, still can’t taste anything. I’ll try the hibachi next time but idk if there will be a next time

Overall this is a really nice place with a very nice ambiance for the money. The sushi was pretty good. Some of it was great and some was good. None of it was mediocre or bad though.
The service was quick and helpful, but we did go for a very late lunch so we were the only ones being waited on. I would have given the food 4.5 stars if I could have.
I would visit again.

Seriously, it’s so disappointing. After checking the menu, I drove an extra 20 minutes for the chicken tempura, lol, only to get there and hear, “Oh, that’s the old menu.” I tried the chicken tempura rolls instead, which were six pieces, but honestly, nothing special. The shrimp tempura with veggies was way overpriced at $18, and the taste was a letdown, too oily fried, even though the fried rice was decent. And the Golden Tree fried crab rolls were Super oily and not tasty.
Maybe an give a try, but there is nothing special about this place.
Quiet dine-in and simple ambient

Sushi was very mid. It was terrible but it wasn’t great either. I wouldn’t return for Sushi again. The service was awesome though, 5 stars for the girls serving us last night.

I’ve eaten at Kumos’ several times and each time I ask myself Why? The service is chronically slow. Friendly staff, but often unable to seat, take a drink order, bring drinks, take an accurate order and then get served in a reasonable time. Silverware was non-existent. Soy sauce bottle was empty. The busboy/dishwasher delivered the meal after a long wait (only 6 tables). Portions were small. I wish the owners luck. Their reputation is on the line. Patrons in Fuquay won’t continue to pay $100 for 2 parents and a child with this substandard experience. Rather go to Hibachi & Co for 1/5th the price and lightning fast service.

All around great first experience here doing a pick up order (and my first time in general). Top notes: Salmon sashimi was fresh and melt in your mouth, gave plenty of soy sauce in containers that make it easy to dip a piece of sushi in, creative rolls that tasted great, service was polite, prompt, and friendly, and the ambiance was cute inside! They also have bar seating!
I’d love to see them do bogo or some sort of deal for lunch rolls as well as have some sort of light incense for the restaurant – smell was a little musty inside, just old building or so kind of smell.

High level experience. This restaurant is suitable for a romantic date. The decoration looks oriental and elegant. The service was very helpful. The food is delicious.Gyozas (Pan Fried Pork Dumplings) were my appetizer, and for the entrée, I tried five rolls: the Shrimp Tempura Roll, Philadelphia Roll (With Smoked Salmon), Shrimp Avocado Roll, Salmon Skin Roll, and Fancy Salmon Roll (cooked salmon whole roll deep-fried top with spicy mayo).. It was more than enough for two people, but everything was delicious. Of course, I want to come back to this place and try more rolls.

Had kumo sushi about a week ago and it was yummy. Teriyaki chicken meal that comes with the traditional chicken fried rice and vegetables, but there was also a California roll and fried vegetables included. I enjoyed the meal. If I had to get nit-picky I’d say that the rice wasn’t my favorite, but the rest of the meal made up for it.

We went there for lunch and it was only us until we were done. That should’ve been my first clue.
We ordered two appetizer items and one of them was vegetable tempura. The picture was taken right after they brought it to my table. You can see all of them (mostly zucchini and onion) are not fresh and soggy. The other appetizer item was fried as well and that made me believe that they have no idea when it comes to deep frying. It felt like you are also drinking a sip of oil along with your stuff. My main dish was beef teriyaki and it was more of steak cubes, and they were overly salty. This was my first visit after a couple of years, and I know it used to be good Sad to see it go…

I decided to treat myself to sushi on a rare day alone and tried out this place.
The service was a 3 star because the place was empty when I walked in, and the server got annoyed and went to play on her phone while I was deciding what to get.
The counter seating I chose was, unfortunately, sticky and dirty.
The sushi area was filthy and looked like a jumbled up mess.
I got the vegetable and shrimp tempura, the rainbow roll, and tamago nigiri.
The vegetable tempura was great. They made it fresh, the shrimp tempura clearly came frozen from a box and had completely different breading than the veggies.
The sushi looked like it had scrap fish pieces on it. They were small and super thin, and the rice was dry and old.
The tamago nigiri came out hot, and again, the rice was dry and old.
I came in the afternoon, so maybe this place is better during busier times of day, but I won’t be going back.
