i had stopped by kuboba due to a yelp elite event. and though there were some perks due to it being an event for us – i would love to add in my thought on the food and service! stepping in the store felt like a community experience! their staff there were so friendly and welcoming (which is a huge plus going to any business) and their food and drinks are equally as amazing!
definitely, can’t wait to come back and try the other empanada flavors 🙂 i think its also super unique how they have both sweet and savory flavors – from my previous experience getting empanadas I’ve really only encountered savory flavors so seeing how there are sweet ones I’m really excited to try those soon one day!
with so many flavors to choose from i had ask them to recommend some options and ended up with chicken adobo along with spicy curry potatoes w/ pea- both of which were so freaking delicious! i ended up ordering some extra to share with my aunts and uncle and they really loved the flavors too!
for the drink option i had ordered the taro with fresh taro wall – which i really enjoyed as the balance of the sweetness and creaminess were well balanced and paired well with the food i had ordered!
10/10 would recommend this spot!! thank you for having me 🙂

I got their mango cheesecake empanada, and it was nice and warm when it was given to me. The empanada had a sugar glaze and was filled with mango puree and cream cheese. It was surprisingly not too sweet.

If kuboba doesn’t know they have my heart by now. They will after reading this review. Anyone in my community who loves empanadas and boba just as much as I do onto this spot. They have THE BEST TARO DRINK in all of Bay Area. Even better than my other fav boba which is hard to beat. The drinks are full of flavor and the boba toppings are never hard and stale and always taste fresh. Plus Kuboba’s loyalty point system is one of the most generous I’ve seen in the Bay. The pandan drink is yummy too and I love the home made pandan jelly. Not to mention their empanadas are literally the best I’ve ever had in my entire life. The empanadas are so soft and flaky and full of flavors. The cheese cheese burger, pizza and mango cheesecake are my favorites of course. This is the place to beat when it comes to customer service and good boba and good food. I wish the best to the kuboba team and family and look forward to your continued growth in the game. All of the rewards and good reviews are well earned. Yall truly have a special place in my heart. Long live kuboba.

Got 2 empanadas, fhe beef curry (?) one was much better than chicken adobo. Love the chili oil it comes with and the flaky crust even though it’s a little oily. Good size but still a little overriced

Listen I was hesitant because I don’t like many empanadas but decided to try it anyways because my boyfriend really wanted to. This place is AMAZING and I will definitely be coming back. The service was LOVELY and it’s such a cute little cozy place with quite a few options for the empanadas and the boba drinks. I had the longaniza(I hope I spelled that right) with eggs empanada and the other was the curry empanada with peas, carrots and potatoes. The curry one was my favorite but both were sooo mouthwatering I also tried the taro boba and that was super good too. Can’t wait to go back again. Thank you guys for the amazing service and food

I got all of the empanadas and the Ube tea. All of the empanadas were so so so delicious. Perfectly hot, crispy, and packed full of filling – my favorites were the Filipino inspired flavors. The employees were amazing and super friendly. The space was really cute too!
I think they are still doing a soft opening and I hope they open full time soon! It’s the perfect merienda spot 😉

SOOOO GOOOOOOD. This place caught my eye a week ago while I was walking by and thought I’d try it if I were in the area. They only serve empanadas (and drinks) with six different flavors, so you already know every empanada has been tested and perfect. We got a combo of six empanadas and every single one was delicious.
Highly recommend the sausage one, and the mango cheesecake is fire too!
Update (9/28): went there again yesterday and tried the chicken adobo and togue empanadas and mango boba, it’s literally so hard to pick a favorite! Love the staff and owners 🙂

Wow!! So glad I got to try this place for a yelp event. The empanadas are really good, I got to tried the chicken adobo empanadas and now I wanna try the other ones. The drinks were pretty good, can’t wait to come back.
